Where are the best seats in Arrowhead?
I know this is going to be very subjective so I will try to narrow it down quite a bit to start:
I am going to be traveling to my first Chiefs game at Arrowhead after 43 years as a fan. I'm thinking the home opener against the Cowboys or the Giants I want to sit in the best seats available without my view being blocked by the players on the bench, too low to be able to see across the field, and not stuck behind any columns. I also don't want to sit in the end zone or nose bleed seats. I only need a single ticket and right now there are several single tickets in Section 103 as low as row 7 and row 9 for $185. All seats in Sections 116-122 are gone and I don't want to spend $300 for resale tickets at Stub Hub. How low is good without your view being blocked? Will I be sitting with all the Dallas or opponents fans sitting in this area? I would love to party with a large group of CP'ers in the parking lot and I'll bring some booze! Any advice greatly appreciated |

Row 9 should be okay ish for a low seat but isn't 103 a corner spot...? |

I think there is even a few tickets in 101 for the Giants game, which is visitor side 50 yd line |
I consistently hear the "best" seats are the lower rows in the upper deck behind the goal posts.
I had tickets for a year sort of high in the corner endzone and those were ok, but being lower and more towards the goal posts would have been better. The best I've ever sat in were about 10 rows from the railing on the top level at about the 30 yard line. Those had a great view. I've sat on the lower level behind the goal posts a couple times, and lower level corner endzone a ton. Those have the worst view IMO. |

I like the "10 rows up" seat idea much better. Thanks |

In the December games, this is crucial, there is a 10 degree difference if you sit on the sunny side and it is very noticeable. For the September games it would obviously be the opposite. |

Those little things help |
Upper level, 50 yard line, first row. Best seats in the house.
|
As far as atmosphere, if we win at JAX in week 1, the home opener should be great. By week 4 we could be 1-2. Atmosphere wills still be good since it's early in the season, but 1-0 at home against the Cowboys should be a great time.
There will be plenty of Cowboys fans, but since it's so early, the 40% number is a bit high IMO. But there will be enough to quench your thirst with their tears. After a win, walking down the spiral ramps, doing the chop. Wish I could go there for my first time again...you're lucky. |
Lower level it's going to be a different experience from watching on TV. You'll be checking the jumbotron for replays a lot. That said, I love being down close. It's just a different viewing experience.

I just don't want to get stuck sitting in the center of a bunch of our opponents fans. |

Clear view? Able to see action across the field? Do you remember what you paid for the tickets? Thanks |
Ive sat almost all places in the stadium and to me the best seat is in the first 5 rows anywhere in the upper section. Do not get end zone lower level seats, you cant see shit especially when they are on the other end of the field and have to watch the jumbo tron, you might as well save your money and watch it on tv for free.

That being said, Cowboys games probably have more opposing fans show up than any other team KC plays. There will be a shitload of them everywhere. |
Upper level, lowest row and nearest fifty as possible.
|
Upper level between the 40s are the best seats period.

Buy a cheap ticket then walk downstairs. There is an area that is open where you can watch the game down low. Unless you actually sit in your seat, the seat numbers are just your suggested viewing area
|
It seems the Upper Level 50 yd line as close to the first row is the overwhelming favorite.
Thanks everyone |
I like mine. Section 119. That reminds me, I'm definitely selling my Green Bay Preseason tickets. Got three on row one plus red parking pass. All at face value. I had them sold but the dude just backed out on me. CPers, PM me if interested....

The first rows of the upper level end zone, however; are some of my favorites in the house. |
I've sat everywhere and my favorite are sec. 118 and sec. 120 rows 9 on back. Love seeing the players before the game behind our bench, shaking hands and getting autographs. I love the upper level as well but I'd rather sit lower level in the ones I mentioned. I'll be at the game too man, hopefully we send the bandwagon Cowboys fans home crying.

Id rather sit in the first three rows of the third level...right on the 50....or the middle of the endzone in the first three rows of the third level for any old game, but if it's a big game/ playoff game I love sitting in 136 in the first few rows...that puts you feet away from the opposing quarterback and you can slip in a few choice comments to try and get in his head. Those are pricey, though.
|
IMHO, the best seats in the house are upper level, right in the rail, at midfield. You feel like you are right on top if the game.
|
For the Ravens game a few years ago in the po's we sat at the 50, shade side, first row if upper deck.
It's great cause you can see everything, and you have the signs to bang on. IMO, best seat in the house. |
Sweet, I just checked my email and ours just shipped!
|
If you wanted to really know which seats were the best, you should have went to a game last season. So many were empty, you could have tested out damn near every one.

Sorry you got hosed by having to purchase them but I'll probably take my son to that game (turns out he likes green bay DAMMIT) to stoke a football interest and hopefully pull him to the light. That being said I could probably pick some up dirt cheap at a fraction of face value. |
I've sat in every section in that stadium. I'm not a fan of the corners. I adore endzone seating at least 15 rows up on LL. That's where I'd want season tickets if I had that kind of disposable income. I also like upper level closer or far away. Nose bleeds aren't my preference but there really aren't many bad seats in the place. Most of them are in the corners.

Another vote for upper level between the 30s. Prefer the first row, but anything below the vomitoria works.
|
Most fun I ever had was in the corner way up in the nosebleeds. That was probably due to all the drunks up there shit talking all the Pats fans though.
My favorite spot I've sat was club level, but that was before the remodel. |

I've sat between the 40s in the upper deck several times, including their last two playoff games, and really enjoy that view. I've sat in Jazzzzzlvr's seat on row one on the goal line, which is pretty awesome when they're on that half of the field, but yeah, you end up watching the scoreboard a lot. I've sat in several other locations around the lower bowl, and while it's nice to be that close, I'd rather have the upper deck view in order to see the whole play develop.

I've got 2nd row LL in the corner, and can't really complain. When the game is on the far end, yeah its tough to see as much, but when the game is near side, its as good as it gets. Speaking of which, either preseason games are for sale, half face value if anyone is interested.
|
Stay away from the first couple of rows on the Chiefs side LL, at the 50. I hear there's some asshole there that yells at the coaches a lot.
|
I've had front row seats, prime seats in the lower level around the 35, and club seats. But frankly I prefer lower upper level between the 40s. Commanding view of the field. I think I'd take front row seat there rather than something right on the field.
And **** corner seats. Never again. |

The last couple of years the best seats were in the parking lot near all the food and beverages
|
upper deck first row, 50 yard line, chiefs side.
|
I've only been to about 10 games at Arrowhead, but my favorite was easily the 1st row of the upper deck in the "West" Endzone, just a seat or two to the "North" of the "North" upright.
Great seat! |

not sure if anyone has already linked this, but these are good seats for going rate;
sec 116, row 17 $234 here |
looking further down that list, there is 1 seat in sec 120, row 26 for $238
those are good seats (dallas game links here) |
My ticket is on its way!

This will be my first visit to arrowhead been wanting to go for a long time. I got tickets in section 332 row 6 for the raiders game. I hope it is a good experience!!!!
|
Last year the best seats were next to the urinals.
|
Uh -oh...Section 126
I've been reading this thread, and now I'm bothered by this. I bought end zone sears (section 126, row 14), for $20. They ended up being around 32 by the time service charges took effect.
I'm taking my mom, and thought the seats were a good price. This is my first official game in Arrowhead, as I saw them when Arrowhead was first built. I never miss a game, and I'm rather loud watching them on TV.My mother is 81, and I wanted her to have a good time....end zone corner seats...hmm... Should I upgrade them? Or just go and have a good time? |
I have had seats all over the lower levels, but I got a chance to snag some 50 yard line seats in the yellow rows last year for the Carolina game. I liked those better.

I wouldn't be real concerned with folks getting too rowdy, you'll be on your feet more often than not and folks barely have room to clap -- it's like sardines nowadays. I like the end zone seats, if I can't get close to the 50ydl then I will hit the the end zone. |
Arrowhead doesn't really have a whole lot of really bad seats, unless you're just very picky. I guess the very top of the upper deck could be bad if you don't like heights or have poor vision. If it's your first game, don't stress on it. Just get in the building, you'll have fun regardless.

I'd say the best seat in the stadium is the one I'm sitting in (or standing in front of....SUCK IT lower level complainers!). |
Best seats are upper deck if you actually like to watch the games and see play development, etc. Club level are the best in the house, but they're pricey.

Very top rows of the first level are best for the ol timers, at least in my experience. They don't have to climb stairs and they're not packed in the middle of the mob. |
Quote:
Bathrooms are less packed, easier time at concession, good crowd into game, but more up and down than stand full game. Good overhead protection in case of bad weather. Went to Saints game in December few years back. Pouring rain & freezing cold. Dry as a bone as upper level runoff landed 2 rows in front of us. Not the place if you want the full-on Arrowhead experience. |
My uncle got is seats in the Chevy box once. While the seats and amenities were nice, sitting with a bunch of stodgy old farts and corporate asskissers who were mainly there to be seen and schmooze (and didn't pay a bit of attention to the game) wasn't.

I don't think it's going to be a deal because there are attendants all over the stadium nowadays telling fans how to behave yada yada. if 81yo mom wants to attend a football game, I expect she knows how to handle herself. |
During the hayday in the 90s it was the. whole. ****ing. place.
