He may never amount to anything, but i still like the signing, you cant coach up raw measurables.
If Reid can beat some brains into this guy... |
He'll either be leading KC to the playoffs or selling novelty underwear in Cali in two years.

I get the feeling that you made this thread because you're desperate for the Tyler Bray megathread to "belong" to you, and your last attempt at bumping the "draft Bray" thread to do so was a failure.
|
Shouldn't this have eight asterisks?
|
let's celebrate with another FB trade, yea!

I'm thrilled to be honest. 6'6 QB with a stud arm that was basically free working with Childress, Reid, Nagy and Pederson?
He will have every opportunity to win the 3rd job and learn. |

Well......Alex Smith will be benched....again.
|
With a name like Bray, seems like he should have signed with Donx.

In all honesty though, I'd take Bray over Osweiler any day of the week. I've been on the Brayndwagon for quite a while now.... I just hope his "stupid," while presumably not "fixable" is at the least, "treatable." If he can sling TD's for the Chiefs, I can deal with his Cali-cool, dumbassery...in fact, I think his dumbassery is kind of funny at times, for it seems so inadvertent and not thought out prior to presenting. He is pretty bad in terms of sticking to the "professional" script in interviews...which I'd rather him be that way than someone who disguises their douchebag selves in the form of some professional, "Mr. Niceguy" like Cassel, who's egocentric comments are underlying and obscure to the point where they aren't even recognized by most fans. |

So about these "character concerns"... Are they party related, maturity related, douche related, or what? I'm too lazy to research and I feel like y'all could sum it up for me better than some random scout on google.
|
looks like he's got a good arm .....

And they both moved on after the '98 season. I just have always believed that Reid has been overrated as some QB guru, and that it was Holmgren that was responsible for getting Farve to play under some control, not Reid. |

All you have to do is watch the Gruden QB camp clip to understand why he fell out of the draft.
He doesn't know anything about the game. He had 0 answers to Grudens questions. And even when Gruden pointed out 3 open receivers on one of Brays interceptions Bray came back with "if I threw that same ball I need to do..." No, you just don't throw it. To think he gave himself a 7-8 on preparation if guys like Brady are a 10. Pffffft. |
Someone on the Tennessee Vols board claimed that they thought he had a difficult time adapting to life as a star Vol from growing up in a small town of 6,000 people. Basically said it reminded him of a Dazed and Confused QB type of deal.
|
The question that keeps lingering in my mind is: why were the Steelers rumored to be in love with Bray, going as far as labeling him the "best QB prospect in the draft," yet when the draft rolled along, they selected Landry freaking Jones in the late rounds with Bray still on the board? Like, who were they trying to dupe? Or was it misinformation? The "misinfo" possibility seems somewhat unlikely because I was read about the Steelers' interest in him on multiple sites that I've never known to be unreliable. The draft is so weird.

is there going to be a live stream of Stanzi getting cut for fans in Iowa?
|
Bray was in a bad spot no matter how you look at it
he clearly got bad advice on the draft, but at the same time he fell out of favor with a coach that wanted to bring his own QB in, his own offensive style and frankly Bray is not an option QB so he almost had no choice but to leave early or what, risk next college season sitting the bench because the coach wont play that style anymore I guess so the coach is going to throw him under the bus when teams ask about him Bray was recruited by Lane Kiffin before Kiffin being the douche he is, sold out the entire college/state after a quick minute. what is a fact is that Tyler Bray was part of producing a 1st round WR and a 2nd round WR and those guys didnt just get there by balls not being thrown their way, so. |

Seems like getting a guy with this much talent in UDFA is rare.

Bray would have been in the conversation of possibly being the top QB in the draft next year.
We got him for ****in beans! Beans...PEOPLE! |
Quote:
He was thought to be a 3rd-4th round pick this year, a year with QBs that apparently no one liked outside of Buffalo. |
Beans.

But you can make one for the story that is to be Tyler Bray...
|
|
Any word if Dorsey tried to make a trade for Bray?
|
It's a bit crazy that Bray has two receivers picked in the top 34 picks and then goes UDFA.
|
To the ship dog!
