SOC - Proud of you guys

Hey - just wanted to say that I'm proud of the effort and energy that many of you have poured into the SOC effort. Granted, I don't have a dog in this hunt, but it's great to see the fanbase rally and speak up. I think you're doing it creatively and respectfully and you're getting great publicity.

Keep it up... it's something that maybe you can point to with your grandkids in 20 years and say "here's the little role I played in helping the situation".

I can only imagine the roller coaster of mixed emotions for some of you... it's great to be getting noticed, but it's the reasons behind it that suck. Just keep it up and maybe things will work out postively for you.

Enjoy the holidays and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

You'll be proud of it next year when Geno is assraping your secondary.

Enh, I've said it before... I honestly can't wait for the AFCW to be better overall. I mean, it's the week before Thanksgiving... Denver has a huge divisional lead and I can't get excited about it yet because the AFCW sux so badly.

Football is better for me when Den, KC and Oak are all competing at a high level.

Side Note --- with next week being Denver @ KC, will things be like the CIN game? Or, do you think it will be more "anti-Denver" than "SOC" like this past week?

I agree. Shit is a lot more fun when the division is actually competitive and the games means something, and you can fill that vile hatred return. Right now I have no passion for the chiefs to win. I just watch and laugh.

Everyone needs to get better. It makes it so much more fun.

Totally ... and, we've all seen the divisional games result in the unexpected. I hope DEN isn't overlooking the trip to KC - lovely trap game potential - we've all seen crazy things happen. And, with all this momentum - it would be the perfect water on the flames of the SOC movement.

The only way that Denver doesn't win that game, is if they don't show up.

Ugly Duck 11-19-2012 07:44 AM

I hear you, MH. A true grass-roots movement that made real impact. Very impressive. And we knew these guyz before they were famous!

DC.chief 11-19-2012 07:44 AM

That's classy Brad. Thanks buddy. I agree with you on the division performing well. I mean I hate the donks and I wish them nothing but pain. However, Its always nice to claim you're suceeding in a strong division.

It's sad when we can't even get fired up for divisional games because of the state of this shitty franchise. Hopefully we purge this staff, have a solid draft and actually compete at a respectable level next year.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well.

The only conceivable thing that could go wrong on Sunday is for Manning to get injured. Other than that, you're fine.

Thanks for the kind words, BTW.

This can't be said enough! Time for KC and Oakland to get their crap together. Some of the Faid fans here seem to think they are on the right track, but...

Honestly ... I do feel that KC is closer, it's the QB as you all know very well. QB and a few upgrades and this thing can be consistently competitive again. Oakland - I dunno, I think Palmer can last and be productive, but they have a handful of upgrade needs that they may not be able to pull off in one offseason, but it could happen.

SD - I just don't have the same feeling with them, but they're not far off either - need a new coach, and they are paying the price for letting guys like Sproles and VJ get away.

Its bigger than rivals right now. SOC will come first.

The movement has been pretty cool to watch. I can't imagine anything similar happening in SD (fans don't care enough) or OAK (fans are certain the Raiders are the best no matter the evidence to the contrary).

Exactly... it's cool because it's one of those very rare times when the fan base rises up to say "we're not happy by any means and we're tired of it". I think there may be a half dozen fan bases that could pull it off. KC fans are diehard freaks of nature... so, it's great to see this happening, and hopefully it pays off. I'd love nothing more than to see KC rise up to 10 wins the next however many years, finishing a close 2nd place to Denver each season. :p

I too can't wait for every AFCW team to be great. The pressure of each game makes them so much more fun...

Now that you guys have been 'noticed' ... time to keep your foot on the gas and don't let up. Nothing has been achieved yet, your voices are being heard - now make the impact. Good luck!

it's to the point where it isn't even fun to trash division rivals verbally anymore, whats the point kinda thing.

Thanks for the recognition MHM.

 I just think it's a cool thing... like I said, I'd love to be able to boast a bit about the season Denver is having and, it's freaking DEN@KC week... and there's just absolutely no heat whatsoever about the game. This is not good for football.

I'm guessing it'll be like last week. I know speaking for myself, my parents are in town for Thanksgiving, and offered to go, but I told them I didn't want to support the front office by paying for tickets or food or parking or anything else. And I'm somebody who in the past has gone to Arrowhead every chance I've had. And if I did go, I'd wear black.

Fat Elvis 11-19-2012 11:30 AM

Maybe this is one of the next steps: Getting fans of other teams to spread the SOC word.

It is no fun for anyone when a team sucks as bad as we do.

Do you think any of the folks in Denver would hold up "Fire Pioli" signs at the KC/Denver game when we play you in Mile High?

Maybe we could get jwhit to talk to some Donkey fans at the KC game and have them pile on the SOC bandwagon. This isn't just about KC, I don't think.

The bottom line is this: Piloi not only needs to be out of KC, he needs to be out of the NFL-period. I wouldn't even wish this guy on the Faiders.

It is one thing to be a bad GM, it is a whole other level when the GM is as overtly hostile to the fan base as Pioli has been.

Whitlock needs to get his buddy, Woody Paige on board the SOC train and start pounding that drum.

It really is amazing when a grass roots campaign is as successful as this one. This could lead to some job opportunities for you guys. Don't be surprised to hear from Ron Paul...)

Even though he doesn't have the same audience as Woody or jwhit, Nick Wright down in Houston should take this and run with it as well.

I think if the SOC guys play this right and hit up the Pages, Cowherds, etc via Twitter... you'll get more word of mouth.

I'm sure he doesn't want to look like he's still got one foot in KC, t least on the radio. He could use Twitter and such to lend a hand, I suppose.

Bullshit, most Broncos fans would hold up signs:

EXTEND PIOLI!

which would probably be as effective as us asking to Fire Pioli. lOL

RealSNR 11-19-2012 01:57 PM

Finally a rival fan who respects what Chiefs fans are doing.

Everybody else says we should just keep our traps shut and be good little season ticket holders and wait for Clark to just do the right thing.

Much appreciated, MHM. Please beat the ****ing crap out of us on Sunday. I would like nothing more than to see the team Peyton Manning chose to put on a ****ing clinic in front of Clark, and have that painful ass-beating be the last thing Pioli ever ****ing sees his team do.

Football? What is that?

It was nice here yesterday, and for the first time ever, I DVRd the game to watch later. Had a lot of stuff to do out in the yard.

Couldn't stand it, came in and watched it until it was obvious that the game was going to go the same old way. (1st quarter) Watched most of the rest of the game later, and it didn't take long. Checking out the black in the stands was the most important task.

I just couldn't watch Denver, I hate both Manning and the Broncos too much.

Tis the season without NFL football.
