I'm being sincere when I say that a Pioli extension will result in a Gameday Blackout rally in another location where more people will show up for that than will for the football game. The average attendance will drop to around 35-40,000/game, and a generation of Chiefs fans will go away.

The only way I could support the Pioli extension is
1. Geno Smith
2. New HC who is contact with Clark on a consistent basis. This of course requires Clark to become more involved.
3. New DC who specializes in the 1-gap or a fire-zone oriented 3-4.
4. Bringing in scouts/personnel guys from Baltimore, GB, and Pittsburgh to join our staff.

He would have to do all of this for me to personally feel comfortable with Scott getting an undeserved extension. I feel that if he did those things, even Scott couldn't mess this team up.

The thought of this just makes my stomach churn.

There are so many things that would make me smile if this happened. I would love to see a ton of fans just stay in the parking lot. Though.....they'd be giving Clark parking money.

God I almost hope this is true. It would finally give me the courage to stop being a fan of this team and completely sever all ties with them after following them since the 60's.

There isn't any calculus by which this makes sense. The guy is in his third losing season out of four. The team appears to be in disarray. Drafts are underwhelming. Arrowhead is half empty at kickoff. Fans are revolting in a way we haven't seen in the modern era of football in this city.

Why would Hunt do this? It makes no sense.

Even if you are in the "Clark only cares about money" camp, this makes no sense because attendance seems to be trending downward. The Chiefs didn't give away jerseys in the 90s. They sold tickets then. As fast as they could print them.
