At least according to Jayice Pearson and the hosts of the "Big Show". Jayice called him garbage and said its obvious Cassel is way better than Quinn who is way better than Stanzi and "was obvious from" camp that Stanzi couldn't be taken seriously as a replacement for Quinn let alone Cassel.

What gives I haven't seen any reports that are that bad about Stanzi and yet a former Chiefs Cornerback called him garbage and said we should get Garrard or Young instead. What gives? Any other reports he's looking that shaky?

Vernier said that there was a large dropoff between Cassel and Quinn/Stanzi but then went on to say he felt Cassel was a "2nd tier" QB and wouldn't mind if the Chiefs spent a 2nd on a QB in next years draft and let him sit behind Cassel. So I took it with a grain of salt just like all other camp reports.

I don't take any opinions very seriously in the camps. I read for stats and wait for video. All the editorials about who's struggling and who isn't can wait for the preseason games to sort out, IMO.

4th day of camp and he has thrown pass after pass every day that EVERYONE THERE has praised.

He didn't see the field because there were no minicamps, no OTA's and no playbooks until training camp opened. He was a FIFTH ROUND draft choice, not fifth overall.

Personally, I think it was absolutely the right thing to do. IF he has any talent and can be groomed into a successful NFL QB, throwing him into the fire with all that mess would have likely stunted his potential, if not killed it altogether.
