~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not a day early or 2 days , so somebody has something to bitch about.
Another turnaround Big Monday vs a quality opponent on the road.
Sorry Turg, we need this one to have a chance at running the table. Should be a tough game on the road, but with aTm you never know. At times they look good and other times weak. They are a strange team to figure out for some reason.
Speak up boys. Beak em Hawks ! :KU:
:KU:Time to Rock Chalk Jayhawk, Go KU :KU:
Buehler445 02-15-2010 02:20 AM
Rock Chalk!
This should be a tough one. They are surprisingly good.
Series: KU leads 14-1 The one is the last loss at home, right?
I think so..... A C Law & Co. . :grr:
Reerun_KC 02-15-2010 08:12 AM
This could actually be one of the games where KU goes down tonight... I would hate to think so, but its very possible.
Going to be a tough Road game....
RockChalk 02-15-2010 08:39 AM
I think it will come down to A&M's ability to shoot the 3's tonight. If they are shooting well from outside, we could have some trouble. I think we can beat them up inside tonight. B. Davis will have a tough time not picking up fouls against Cole and I'm not sure they have anyone who can match up with McMorris.
However, I get a funny feeling about this one. I felt like we would lose 1 of the 2 Big Monday road games (UT, A&M) and we all know we already beat UT. ROCK CHALK!
Tango&Cash 02-15-2010 08:55 AM
If Morris continues to play well and get better and Xavier takes good shots, this team is going to be VERY tough to beat in March.
ArrowheadHawk 02-15-2010 09:05 AM
Another tough big Monday game. I hope the 'Hawks have the same mindset as last week.
jidar 02-15-2010 09:10 AM
This is one of the toughest of our remaining games (others being @ MU and vs KSU).
I hope the Jayhawks are ready to play tonight because A&M is no joke this year.
ROYC75 02-15-2010 09:11 AM
They better go in expecting a battle and guard the 3 well !
ArrowheadHawk 02-15-2010 09:13 AM
Are they doing a white out this year?
AndChiefs 02-15-2010 09:16 AM
The Aggies have surprised me this year. Hopefully we keep it up.
I think it is pretty likely that we lose tonight and at MU.
The purple pussies will be tough, but we had damn well better win that game. Same with CU.
Really? A ku loss at TAMU would surprise the shit outta me. A loss to muTT in Columbia, sure, but not TAMU.
Why do you say that? Admittedly, I don't follow them closely. But I have notice that they have been winning a lot lately. Seems to me that they are playing better. I expect KU to win this one, but wouldn't be shocked if they lost.
Lzen 02-15-2010 10:07 AM
Kenpom has aTm ranked #36. Predictor gives KU a 76% chance of winning with the score 73-66.
Up Next
Kansas returns home to face Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. KU will then make its fourth ESPN Big Monday appearance of 2010 when it hosts Oklahoma on Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. The Jayhawks will then play at Oklahoma State on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. on CBS.
Buehler445 02-15-2010 11:37 AM
If they are outrebounding us, it could be a problem.
Tango&Cash 02-15-2010 12:14 PM
MU doesn't have the big guys down under to complete with Morris and Aldrich. MU does nothing but shoot outside shots/3's and they can't rebound. Sure if they make them, they will compete with almost anyone. But those are low % shots. Beat their press and KU will get a lot of easy buckets.
How many times has Kansas been out-rebounded as a team this season?
I bet you could count all the games on 1 hand.
Silock 02-15-2010 12:38 PM
Many of the times KU loses a rebound is because Cole comes out to guard on the perimeter and then loses position and gets blocked out by the other team's big guy. If Cole doesn't have to come out as much, then we get more rebounds.
all the guys not named Cole need to commit to the rebound BEFORE running out for the fast break. They are so used to Cole outrebounding the entire opposing team that when cole is on the bench or gets out of position they all just stand there.
A&M is a poor shooting team. We force opponents to take tough shots. The two should swing this game in our favor.
I really hope KU wins out for the season. Jack Harry last night said that KU will lose to either KSU or MU. I'd love to see his response when this is all said and done.
just as I'm sure I'll drink too much beer tonight, I'm sure their game will run long. ****ing big east. 8 minutes left in the first half, both teams already in the bonus.
Bearcat 02-15-2010 08:06 PM
For a minute there I thought we wouldn't miss the first half, but there are still 5 TOs left between the two teams, and it's against BE rules to end the game with any TOs or not in the double bonus.
Jack Harry is a dumbass.
KU won't lose to KSU at home. And I dont see them losing in Columbia either.
Mu's not a very strong team, esp down low in the paint.
Sloan is killing us, apparently.
I wouldn't count either of those games as easy. We could easily lose both
No foul. He just landed awkwardly.
Silock 02-15-2010 08:31 PM
These are some ticky-tack ****ing fouls they're calling.
good move
I'm not saying it will be easy. I just don't think MU is good enough to play with Kansas in the paint.......period. If anything, they have a better chance losing to MU than KSU has coming into AFH and winning.
They played inside the paint pretty good against Baylor. Surprisingly good.
I'm not even sure that was a foul, but I didn't see any replays.
Silock 02-15-2010 08:44 PM
Collins has his head up his ass tonight. He needs to snap out of it.
Mr. Laz 02-15-2010 08:44 PM
With all the talent they have on the court, kansas is still going to focus on defense they aren't going to win a game 90-80 /knight
no duh, bobby ... Self doesn't like offense :cuss:
Just because people come together doesn't mean there was a foul.
If Self could find some way to win each game 2-0 he would wet himself.
he worships at the same altar as marty shottenheimer.
Very low BBIQ. You are thinking of Bo Ryan.
Lzen 02-15-2010 08:54 PM
You don't make a desperation save under the basket you are guarding.
Saulbadguy 02-15-2010 08:55 PM
Well, this game is over.
kstater 02-15-2010 08:55 PM
Sure-Oz 02-15-2010 08:55 PM
A&M needs to stop ****ing around and throwing up stupid alleyoops
Silock 02-15-2010 08:55 PM
Very, very bad call.
Sure-Oz 02-15-2010 08:55 PM
Having the largest margin of victory every season just isn't enough, huh?
Lzen 02-15-2010 08:57 PM
And now that I think about it, that call screwed Kansas. Collins would have gotten a good fast break opportunity had they not blown that whistle.
BillSelfsTrophycase 02-15-2010 08:58 PM
Nice kief
