Do you have a preconceived notion of what other Planeteers look like?

Nope. I don't understand the hair or the clothes. I've had the same hair "style" since 1995 and I cut it myself. In fact, my wife told me that I rank at the bottom of all her friends' husbands (according to them) on the metrosexual scale.

I'm totally wrong then - I guess it was something you had posted in the past about being considered cute or something and it got stuck in my head that you were pretty metro. It just goes to show how wrong our mental images of each other can be I guess.

Well if it makes you feel better the reason I probably remember it is because it happened to me several times. In a nutshell up until my late 20s I've always been in an environment where I've never would have had to worry someone even showing gay tendencies.

Then around 27 moved to the city for a bigger and better job. "Naive" would be an grave understatement before lessons learned.
