Say this is Herm's last year. Who coaches the Kansas City Chiefs?

Who ya got?

Deberg_1990 09-16-2008 06:42 PM

I wouldnt mind Holmgren as a GM. Hes got plenty of friends and proteges he could bring in as head coach.

keg in kc 09-16-2008 06:46 PM

Marty or Cowher.

So I can finally, completely stop caring.

007 09-16-2008 06:46 PM

Anybody not of the Schottenheimer tree. Oh, and not Barry Switzer. Other than that, anyone.

Mr. Flopnuts 09-16-2008 06:48 PM

Tyrone Willingham

ChiefsCountry 09-16-2008 06:49 PM

Josh McDaniels
Rex Ryan
Russ Grimm
Rob Chudzinski
Jim Caldwell

And here is some shockers
Kyle Shananan
Rahemm Morris

jjchieffan 09-16-2008 06:52 PM

I think Lane Kiffin will be available. LMAO

Rausch 09-16-2008 06:57 PM

Cowher.

Mother****ing Cowher.

Cowher doesn't rebuild he just builds...

BigChiefFan 09-16-2008 06:57 PM

These aren't necessarily my choices, but Billick, Schottenheimer, Cowher are available.

Some names, that may be available after this season...Wade Phillips, Mike Nolan, Marv Lewis, Romeo Crennel

We could also look into an upcoming coordinator or a dominant collegiate coach.

RealSNR 09-16-2008 07:00 PM

I really wish Jason Garrett would take the job, but it sounds like he has an obsession with DTown and is looking to replace Wade eventually.

The obsession is that Jerry Jones is paying him right now as much as some head coaches. Jones is not going to let him go at any price.

Bowser 09-16-2008 07:02 PM

I'm more interested in who is going to replace Carl.

evolve27 09-16-2008 07:02 PM

Josh McDaniels gets my vote.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-16-2008 07:06 PM

No one from the Schottenheimer tree, please ****. We need someone who will install a modern offense and who will be fine with running the C2 (even though I don't like it). It will accelerate the build.

first, they must have no association or history with Carl...in fact, they must hate his guts..

i'm curious about Spag-spicolli from the Giants based simply on his ability to field strong defenses with some cast off players, and his ability to scheme to fix weaknesses such as losing both starting DEs this year....and his report with players who by all accounts love him...

now, he may not be capable - a la Gunther - but it worth investigating...

as a trait, the coach must be willing to run a dynamic offense...period...even a defensive coach must be willing to bring and trust an aggressive OC....

Yea, the defense already sucks in Jax since he got here and it's only been 2 games. He needs to go somewhere else...

Bowser 09-16-2008 07:29 PM

Whomever the next coach is, I only want one trait out of the guy - he has got to want to attack. Attack on offense and attack on defense. None of this run the clock, play field position shit, or any of this bend but don't break crap. If we have the ball on offense, score a ****ing touchdown, even if we have to run the statue of liberty and hook and ladder three times on a drive to get it. And if on defense, kill the sumbitch who has the ball for the other team.

Is that too much to ask?

With Billick being canned, I figured a bad season from the Ravens may just cause the Ravens to go in a different direction. It's speculation at this point.

This team is built for Cowher to take over......I would love Holmgren however.

Also, I have a strong opinion that Ron Jaworski should be a coach in the NFL. Whether it be OC or QB's. Honestly, he would be my first hire to start to build a Pro offense If I were an owner/GM today.

McDaniels
Martz

Garrett's going nowhere. Clark Hunt isn't getting into a bidding war with Jerry Jones. No way, no how.

Schottenheimer hasn't done jackshit in NY

Wade Phillips? Are you kidding me?

I can't see McDaniels leaving KC to work with Peterson. Maybe with someone else from the Patriots front office but I think that's even a stretch. He's only 32 and youth is something that's never been popular with the Hunts. Plus if he sticks around long enough, the New England job is probably his for the taking.

A lot of that has to do with the fact tha the Rams D can't get off the field. It takes some time to hang a 40 burger on somebody.
