In a similar story, A friend of mine was engaged, living with the GF and 2 months ago out of the blue she up and tells him that she wants some space so she can think some things out......Right? So like a doofus he complies thinking she's getting cold feet or having some second thoughts and needs to get her head screwed on straight before moving on in the relationship. Me, knowing better but keeping my mouth shut, try to stay out of it. Well as the weeks roll on he starts wondering what the hell is taking so long for her to come back around so he asks me if I can go talk to her to find out what's up since she respects me and that I'm some sort of authoritative figure. I do and she tells me that they have talked and stuff and that she's trying to pressure him into finding a better job. The kid... well kid to me anyway works for a News agency in town and makes about 25k a year. He's 30 GF is 22 and I don't think that's too bad of money. So I tell him it's that and he doesn't believe she could be that petty. Then he asks me if I can do a little snooping around. Me, knowing it's bullshit from day 1 about GF's explanation for separation and seeing my friend in agony about why he got kicked out of the house and not understanding, finally cave in to request and help the kid.
Background: My previous occupation(retired) working for federal law enforcement provides me with the expertise to undertake such a task.
In the course of 2 short days I find out that she's been banging not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 different guys since early this summer. To make a long story short I helped him move into a Apt this past weekend.
