So how long before we see croyle???
i'm fed up with huard he gives us no chance to win
|
QB's must be at least 30 to start for the Chiefs, so probably in 9 years after he's failed with a couple of other teams.
|
I'm fed up with Hermie and Peterson. Can we start someone to replace them too?
|
never
the True Fans want Huard...Carl gave them Huard |
I don't want Croyle, he might make mistakes. We need someone who can reliably overthrow running backs.
|
Huard sux

Grossman looks alot better than Huard. That's sad.
|
We may actually see Croyle in the 2nd half....Herm has to do something to deflect the criticism.
|
With the play calling it would not help having Croyle in there it would be the same out come if not worse.

DWAYNE BOWE!!
|
Let a young QB play?
That's crazy talk |
Solari sucks. Its plain and simple. This dick cant call a play downfield to save his ass. Croyle wont make a damn.

LOL @ people who think Croyle would do any better.

How would it be counter-productive? Huard, is a dried up never will be, while Croyle has geniune talent and potential. |
It's a good thing we weren't relying on Croyle to make that pass. Wouldn't want to put any pressure on Rayner at the end of the game.
|
Huard is a worthless piece of shit. He proved it again today.

I'm all for it now. I thought we should wait to start him at home... he looked okay out there today. He's gonna make some dumb mistakes, I'm sure... but it's time to let it ride. I just hope the home fans don't boo him too much.

the MB shaved in Bennett's hair
is for My Bad |
He's starting next week Vs. Minn

Boy, Croyle really folded under the pressure, didn't he?
I bet he's ruined. |
Who was that long Croyle pass to? Bowe, wasnt it?
|

I looove the way he came in felt some pressure from a D that was having their way with the OLine, made one good pass, and it immediately made the D respect him and there was no more 8 or 9 guys in the box action.
|
Brodie's long pass to Webb was ****ing beyooootiful. I hope he starts next week and Huard never sees the field again, ala Romo/Bledsoe.
|
It's scary, the Chiefs don't go outside the boundaries. We're like a grandma.
|
BRODIE CROYLE IS A fuckING CHAMPION, START HIM NEXT WEEK!!!
|
Croyle may not give KC any better chance to win than Huard, but that's not the point. This season isn't going anywhere anyway. So why start a 34 year old QB, and stunt Croyle's growth for another season?? It's pointless to start Huard when this team isn't even close to playoff caliber.
Let Croyle get some experience...Instead of having to go through his growing pains next season too. |

Well my whole argument against starting Croyle over Huard has kind of gone to shit.
My reasoning was we would kill his confidence and growth by making him run for his life on every play behind our atrocious line, as well as having the passes he did get off only bounce off the receivers hands. I must say our line is doing better than I thought and the receivers are catching better than I thought. So I guess I'm aboard the start Croyle wagon. :) |
Quote:
Also our O-Line is playing really well so I think we might as well start him and see what happens. He can't be any worse. |
The question is, will the return of Jared Allen make a huge difference?
I am not sure if it will or not. The defense has got to better with him coming back. If they can apply more pressure to the opposition qb, that will only help the cbs and lb's be better on defense. |
just look at the speed of Croyle's passes....they get there immediately...
He and Bowe could back off those cheating defenses. Huard looks like he is trying to throw paper. |
If Croyle isn't announced as the starter for next week's game, there will be quite a few no-shows. Herm and Carl may be forced into making the change.
|
Quote:
Unfortunately we will not see Croyle because Huard gives us the best chance to win....****in rediculous :( |
Honestly, KC doesn't look like it's going anywhere this year so you might as well start the young guy. Let the team see what he's got and get a jump on what you need to draft/acquire next year.
|

Of course his return will be a positive, but the defense did not lose this game, not in the slightest. They forced three turnovers and the offense did nothing with them. |

I understand that, but with the defense being that much better, it allows the offense not to have to drive 70 - 80 yards each time to score. A better, pressure filled defense will allow the offense to have shorter fields. In that case, I don't think that it would make any difference which QB was playing. To sustain long drives time after time is difficult to ask an offense to do. That is what I was trying to say but wasn't able to do so. evidently... |

LOL indeed Croyle puts some much needed Zip in this offense, Huard doesn't have the confidence or the arm to put pressure on a Defense. I am sure LJ would have had much more success running If Croyle was in there streching the defense all day today. |
When Herm quits!

Croyle stood in there today looking at one of the best pass rushing D in the NFL and fired the rock ...he's better for us now and later..start him Herm ....
|
Huard is gonna be looking over his shoulder next week. Two series max with no results before Croyle
see the field. |
I don' care who them chiefs start. I am just wanting an 8-8 season maybe 9-7. I mean 18 years of mediocrity is something I am used too. Oh yeah they had a couple 13-3 seasons. Those were aberrations if they weren't the next season would be 11-5 maybe 12-4 not 9-7 or worse.
|
Any news on if he will start or Huard?
I hope so. I want to draft Brohm next year or Brennan but in order to do that we need to see if Croyle can do it. |
His passes did look remarkably better, had a good drive going until Micheal Droppedit fumbled

I don't give a shit if I get escorted off the field, that dumbfuck has no right to make this team go from a storied franchise right down to the shitter. Also, if I do see Carl Peterson, I will say "Here's your 20 dollars for the parking" flip him off with my right hand, and say "Here's your $90 for the damn seats" and flip him off with my left hand like a man, should. And I'll stand there. I won't run away like a pussy chickenshit. |

I don't want to be bored to tears when I go to the home opener so Brodie better be in next week.
I'd almost welcome a 3 pick game from Damon so we can quit wasting time. |
I'm gonna post this reguardless of being a newb to this board. Croyle is not the QB of the future, imho.
Theres a reason he was always hurt and on the sidelines in Alabama. He's too small to play in the NFL. While he may have an arm, it takes more then a strong arm to be a good quarterback. While I may be wrong about this, I wanted to toss out my 2cp while I can. So that if they day eventually comes too where I could say I told ya so. I also don't think Huard is the answer either. To be honest w/ ya'll I dont think the QBotF is on our team, nor do I know who it is. |
Quote:
But even if he is or isn't, would you like to find out rather than just everybody guessing? I would. |
Would Huard have looked better against the Saints?...NO....But Hell No...
Did Croyle look better against the Bears?...YES...But Hell Yes... |

I thought it would be better if Croyle got to start on the road just incase he threw an int, and he wouldn't have to hear the booos. Croyle gives us the best chance to go down field and score TDs, and win games.
There is a reason why Huard has been a back up QB for 11 years. At what point in a guys 11 year as a back up does he say I want to be a starter trade me to a team that I can compete for a starters spot? We Chief fans should be exited to have Croyle as our QBOTF and hope it is very soon. HELL YEA!!! |
Our division is stacked with QBOTF. We have to get our selves ready to compete against those teams for the long hall. Rivers, ****ler, JR, and Croyle, years of exiting bang your head football.

Give it to my adopted chief CARL :cuss:
I really think that Carl is the one forcing the Huard call. Herm has been known for giving the new guy his chance. I think Herm wants Croyle in. He just needs to stand up and do what's right for the team and not Carl's wallet. |
To Crackhead....Tom Brady was a strand of pasta coming out of Michigan. Not all QBs look like Daunte Culpepper.
Blowing out your knee has nothing to do with your size. |
I kind of think Huard will start against the Vikings. But if we lose, it'll be Croyle time. I would start him now. We have nothing to lose. Even if Huard does end up playing well finally this year, it'll be only good enough to get us to at best 8-8. This season should be for rebuilding, not keeping the fans in the stands, Carl. He's so scared we will bail if we have a crappy season.

This week would be the perfect week to start Croyle. |
Croyle better get all the reps in practice this week!
|
I see Huard starting the home opener. He will do a better job of running the check down offense and our Defense will create some big plays. I see us winning.
Then we go to San Diego and keep it close for awhile, then lose big. Huard sucks bad. Fans once again scream for a change at QB. We then start Brodie Croyle back at Arrowhead against Jacksonville where we have six of the next eight games at home. As much as I would rather see Brodie start next week. I think this is the plan and has been since shortly after the 3rd preseason game. Obviously the Chiefs braintrust Carl, Herm, and Curl (shudder) thought Damon would do a better job. |
