The Royals might win today, and there's no doubt they're an improved team, but that's one heck of punchless-looking lineup we're putting out there this afternoon. :shake:

Not that I can tell. He just gave up 2 singles, on the verge of blowing it, so Buddy asked Soria to come in early and earn a 4-out save today.

PunkinDrublic 08-26-2007 02:56 PM

Glad Soria got us out of that one.

Hammock Parties 08-26-2007 03:44 PM

my word, we just cant help but strike out in very clutch situations sometimes i see

GoHuge 08-26-2007 03:45 PM

This is frustrating as hell. Meche should have at least 12 wins by now. I know I speak the obvious but he can't get any help from his damn teammates. You think the Chiefs D felt like shit all these years for sqaundering win after win for the Chiefs. If I was a guy walking up to the plate for the Royals with the approach they are walking up there with right now, I'd have a tough time looking Meche in the eye after he gives his all every time and almost always gives them a chance to win the game.

On a lighter note I loved that beautiful Ken Griffey Jr swing that Alex had that missed by a foot and a half on that breaking ball in the 10th. Sure looked pretty. Got the style points at least!

Hammock Parties 08-26-2007 03:46 PM

bale promptly comes in and whacks sizemore... im smelling a bad inning here

VonneMarie 08-26-2007 03:48 PM

That's the game.

Hammock Parties 08-26-2007 03:49 PM

i new that shit was ****ing going to happen... now our ****ing offense is going to sit back and strike out times in a row...

GoHuge 08-26-2007 03:50 PM

F*&kers!! How many times do we have to give up lead off walks before our pitchers get it? He just walked across the plate to take the lead.

Hammock Parties 08-26-2007 03:50 PM

****ing asshole had to ****ing come in and totally **** up the game for the team when they actually showed some promise... i really ****ing hate how 1 ****ing man can come in and totally **** it uop for the entire ****ing team.........

Yeah the ump called a ball on a strike that hit the outside corner that would have one us the game.

Hammock Parties 08-26-2007 03:55 PM

now its time for our offense to roll over and die.... as usual

GoHuge 08-26-2007 03:56 PM

Last out Billy!!! Crank one

Hammock Parties 08-26-2007 03:57 PM

roll over process complete... ****ing assholes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

No worries.

Hey, on the bright side, the Royals have shown quite a bit of improvement over last season - especially in the pitching department - and now we need to focus a bit on getting a power bat in the OF. Moore's got this team headed in the right direction, and I see signs of life for the first time in years. :)

petegz28 08-26-2007 04:21 PM

Another game where bad decisions by Bell I say ended up costing us.....

Sending Gordon on a steal cost us what would of been the 4th run of the game, pulling Gobble after he waxed 5 guys straight I think came back to haunt us too

That didn't help but it wasn't just him making poor decisions. German getting picked off 1st DeJesus diving for the ball in the ninth inning giving Sizemore a double instead of a single, and then he followed it up with an even worse decision by throwing home on the single and promptly giving the Indians again what could have been the winning run in scoring position.

Had DeJesus just played that double by Sizemore straight up in the 9th inning he would have been stuck at first and never would have scored and the final would have been 3-2. Shoulda, coulda, woulda though.
