Even if Carr is healthy, the Saints should be looking to replace him.

If he's looking at shoulder surgery that would impact his season, that's a capsule joint and/or rotator cuff, right?

Even an AC joint wouldn't wipe out his season I wouldn't think.

If it's severe enough that missing the season is on the table, I think that's pretty much it for him. He's not a guy who can lose much and still be NFL caliber. He wouldn't come back until 35 years old.

That's gonna just about wrap up his career then unless he wants to go the backup route and bounce around the league cashing checks for another 3-5 seasons.

So the Saints have a chance of improving. Interesting.

But he's really not any sort of solution either. I suspect they know that.

But they've seemingly always been content just chilling in purgatory.

If you have Carr, it is time to look other places.
