When the Lounge realizes things we've known...

For months, because we're big ol' draft nerds.

It's one of my favorite things.

I'm enjoying seeing everyone accept that this draft sucks for T.

staylor26 02-28-2025 12:38 PM

Cam Robinson, come on down!

Mecca 02-28-2025 12:39 PM

It always makes me laugh when you watch it go from "we need this" to the realization of oh there isn't someone good at every position in every draft.

It's like the starting point is "all drafts are the same"

Chris Meck 02-28-2025 06:49 PM

And those who learn very slowly will call us 'drafturbators' like knowing anything about the draft to discuss is a bad thing.

I still think they take a long hard look at Stanley but I’ll totally understand and be cool either way.

Major floor raisers.

If it’s not one of those two, get ready for DJ.

I’m just a mild draftubator now days with my new work demand but this is one of my favorite things. Draft guys are spitting facts starting in the playoffs and the lounge won’t swallow any of it until after the combine.

Like being a football conspiracy theorist.

I was going to ask how realistic the chances are on us bringing Humphries back now that Jackson is a Ram. Either him, Stanley, or Robinson.....that's basically it on the FA market, right? That, or give Kingsley another shot at it if we don't draft a guy?

duncan_idaho 03-01-2025 08:22 AM

I think it’s Robinson or Humphries.

If it’s Humphries, I’d still throw a small deal at Jedrick Wills and see if you can salvage that career.

Having one of Humphries or Wills “hit” would be pretty transformational for the roster construction.

Chris Meck 03-01-2025 08:52 AM

I'm feeling like it's going to be Humphries.

Not my preference, really, but I'm not seeing much out there that's conventionally available that is significantly better risk/reward-wise.

Couch-Potato 03-01-2025 09:55 AM

I’m fine with Humpries, but I still want us to draft competition at OT.

Titty Meat 03-01-2025 10:25 AM

I said weeks ago it's gonna be the Humphries/Kingsley combo

No I post in this fourm but I don't want to let good players walk for comp picks, worship 6th round scrubs and claim they'll be starters, or do any of the other weirdo shit the draftubators do

This is my thought as well. Makes sense given the lack of free agents combined with no chance at a LT in the draft.

Yes we could use 31 on a prospect LT but they arent any better than Kingsley.

Unless Simmons falls all the way to us or we manage a trade up for him, I believe it will be DJ/KS at LT.

chiefforlife 03-01-2025 01:44 PM

I would also take a chance on J. Wills. Way to good of a prospect not to try out. You could argue he is already better than anyone we had last year.
