Which of the following do you enjoy reading?
Classic Literature
Contemporary Literature Fantasy Science Fiction Non-fiction Poetry Periodicals. |
I like biographies.
|
Sci-Fi and Playboys.
|
is Penthouse forum considered Sci-Fi, Periodicals or Fantasy?
And I like them all except poetry. |
On that list? Only Fantasy and Science Fiction. Although I will occasionally (rarely) read poetry. I don't enjoy literature, old or new, and non-fiction holds absolutely no interest for me. The only periodicals I currently receive are Writer's Digest and The Week.

Classic Literature. I should read more contemporary. I'm sure I miss out on a ton of good books, but aside from some current short stories I don't read much contemporary.
I almost never read magazines, fantasy, sci-fi or poetry. My wife, on the other hand, reads only non-fiction. Money books, health books, self-improvement, etc. That's it. She calls fiction, "stories". |
Non-fiction, mostly. Specifically, true crime.
Although, right now I'm finally reading all the Harry Potter books. My wife has been bugging me for a decade to read them. |
I read mostly fantasy. I used to read sci-fi but mostly have given that up. One of my pet peeves is when horror is called sci-fi.

I enjoy reading The Planet.
Not much else. |
I mostly read essays, nonfiction, literary fiction, and poetry
|
Fantasy and historical fiction.

I read it all. I don't read too much Sci-fi anymore, unless it's a Young Adult dystopian/cyberpunk type selection. I don't read poetry for fun, but I am required to study it pretty regularly as part of my job. I don't really find myself seeking out new poems, though. I go back to classic literature constantly and am reminded of why it's a classic (just discovered William Styron, holy shit). I also read a lot of periodicals, though most of my periodical viewing is more visual (Dwell, cooking rags, etc...). I also read a lot of non fiction when I'm feeling the need to get inspired on a personal level or learn about something.
But shit... I read the Planet, sadly, as much as anything. |
