Does KSU NEED KU?
I keep hearing/reading KU fans lamenting the fact that they will have to drag the "KSU anchor" in potential conference realignment. Does KSU really need Kansas to land in a good BCS conference? If the situation plays out, will Kansas really be held back by K-State?
I honestly have no idea. Kansas does have a rather small population to be supporting two large universities, and that can't help with television ratings (and the money that goes along with those for potential conferences). With football being an important part of the equation, would KSU be fine, or even better off, without Kansas? |
Absolutely they do.

why do they "have" to stay together?

  This should be entertaining. I think it is going to be pretty funny when it is revealed that Missouri was never invited to the Big 10.
There is a lot of history here |
I predict copious amounts of indignant butthurt in this thread. :)

Iowa has 200,000 people "more" than Kansas; Iowa and Iowa State don't seem to "need" each other?
Yeah, you never try to aggravate KU fans, right? Heh. |
I don't know about need, but I do not support breaking these two up.

I assume you'll want to bring something purple. Perhaps you should just wash your KU stuff in hot water and let the red and blue run together. :D |

Honestly, I can't see why this thread would aggravate KU fans at all. |

I would rather KU and KSU stay in the same conference.... |

Going to a Mizzou/NW game would remind me of the time I went to a WSU/Nobody game. |

This whole thing is starting to bore me a bit. Nothing will be confirmed for at least a couple of weeks, and beyond that, I think everybody with horse in this race has made his feelings crystal clear by now. |
It's just obvious that KU likes KSU more than they like MU. lol
