Should the Chiefs have traded up to snag Matt Ryan?

Lets have some fun!

Of course that would have meant giving up Dorsey, but at least we would have our QBoTF now.

Thoughts......

I still like the Dorsey pick... we can get a QB next draft.

L.A. Chieffan 09-10-2008 10:37 AM

Do you think Atlanta would've taken Huard?

The Franchise 09-10-2008 10:38 AM

No...I think we possibly should have traded up into the bottom of the 2nd round for Brohm.

OnTheWarpath15 09-10-2008 10:40 AM

Wow.

Ryan goes 9/13 for 161 yards and a TD, against the Detroit ****ing Lions, and he's the second coming of Ben Roethlisberger...

Chargers and Texans fans assumed Ryan Leaf and David Carr would be their QBOTF as well...

Worked out well...

Not to mention, to trade up to #3, we would have had to give up a 3rd round pick as well. So, not only no Dorsey, but likely no Charles as well.

I would give up a RB and DT for a QB in the draft.

RB's and DT don't take time to develope, QB does. We could get those other positions while our QB is taking his youthful lumps

"DT don't take time to develop"?

You are an idiot.

Dorsey will have a better career than Ryan. He is a rare DT a Buck Buchanan/Warren Sapp type.

StcChief 09-10-2008 10:51 AM

no and no..... F BC and Ryan. he will be avg.

Hell no

bishop_74 09-10-2008 10:52 AM

No. As everyone says the game begins in the trenches. We need to solidify our line on offense AND defense before we get any high profile players. You can't develop QB's without some protection first. (See Ryan Leaf)

Rausch 09-10-2008 10:54 AM

No.

I think he'll be a great QB but we needed to rebuild the foundation (0/D line.)

Who? Stafford isn't anything great and after him the rest of the QB crop is hogwash.
