a bunch of project lineman
yipee! |
Don't question Veach, people. Simmons is going to dominate the league for the next decade, ensuring that Mr. Mahomes has a safe and comfortable workplace.

I mean we have to fix LT.
Have to. With where we draft every year and with our cap situation it’s gonna require some gambles. Hope it works out. |
|
Shows either how much confidence we have in Moore or we’re not playing him for a year.
So much for an impact player this year for Mahomes. *sigh* |

Post-Draft Analysis
In conversations with a Chiefs source today, they said Simmons was a dream target but assumed he would be long gone when they came on the clock. Simmons wasn't gone, and now Kansas City has a legitimate franchise left tackle prospect they normally wouldn't be able to add in the draft with yearly Super Bowl visits. Simmons could have been the top tackle in the class had he not suffered a torn patella tendon in mid-October. The expectation is that he'll be cleared in August, and he'll factor into the team's long-term tackle plans. -- Miller |
You have to think the Chiefs doctors checked him out, we need to built a fortress around Mahomes
|
Well at least they addressed the O-line!

We got our man and a 5th to play with in a poker hand.

it's probably the only chance he'll get to draft a legit left tackle that would have normally been a top 10 pick. It's worth the risk even if he doesn't play this year I wanted something more sexy but if this pays off in the next couple of years then it's a massive win. |

Simmons gonna take his 34 1/8” arms across the table and slap all the haters in the nose.
