Hey, it's okay by me if people want to rationalize keeping Pioli or having him do contracts or fetch drinks during coaching interviews. It's a free world and I respect both freedom and worlds.

As for me, however, I have seen absolutely nothing from Scott Pioli that suggests to me that he brings any value whatsoever to the table. He can't draft, he can't maintain a positive organization, he can't pick coaches, he can't evaluate talent, he can't motivate people, and he probably can't wipe his own ass without blaming someone else for his difficulty in reaching between his enormous, flabby buttocks.

I can understand why Clark would hesitate in taking it on the chin over several tens of millions of dollars (assuming Pioli signed an extension). But I cannot understand why anybody with a properly functioning brain could find any redeeming qualities in that historically incompetent butt-mole of a GM.

Maybe Hunt left Donovan to work out the contract details.

Pioli worked with Belichick, the epitome of headstrong. Working with Reid shouldn't be an issue.

Ironic isn't it.

A lot of the hand wringing here is being done by the same people that said "Scott Pioli sucks. He didn't do anything in New England, Bill Belichek did it all!"

Andy Reid Just wrapped up a near 9 hour interview with Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt & GM Scott Pioli today in Philly

Who is Jeff Skversky?

Most of these are retweets I would assume.

How did the interview with Ferentz go? I hear that was today.

I don't see that anywhere on his timeline. His last Chiefs tweet was about us interviewing Koetter.

Why on earth would he bring Pioli to meet Reid? It's like introducing your creepy sex offender uncle to a girl you're trying to date

After getting neutered and publicly humiliated, I'm confident Pioli will have the Chiefs best interest when handling the business side.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-02-2013 05:48 PM

Awesome. Get him signed, sealed, delivered and commence the scouting and drafting of Geno.

If you are serious about possibly moving to contract negotiations, you probably better have your GM there. Clark can lead with Pioli providing whatever support is needed.

Pioli is still the GM. It would be absurd to not even involve him in a coaching search. If Clark is driving the hire, he should have the confidence that he can have Pioli sit in meetings and help answer questions, maybe even ask a few good/relevant ones. It's up to Clark to sniff out any Pioli B.S.

By the same token, what prevents Dr. Evil from spouting off something like, "Yeah, Reid .. and I don't want to see any damn empty pizza boxes in the conference room or it's your ass. It's just the way we do things."?
