I only use my dishwasher whenever I've accumulated enough dishes from cooking bigger (as in more complex) meals. If I have a bowl of cereal, I tend to just wash the bowl and spoon after I'm done. Unless I get lazy.

Paper towels of course. Or there is the preferred "natural" way to let dishes dry.

My brother and I used to take turns washing and drying the dishes after dinner. We used to ask dad why he wouldn't buy a dishwasher. He said, "Why would I buy one when I've already got two?"

Paper plates, paper towels, plastic cups and utensils.

Keep a big thrash can nearby, and you only have to "do dishes" once a week when you take the thrash to the curb.
