A big ass paint bucket of fart fuel would be epic. It’s not as big, but still a lot of of chili.

It reminds me of a children’s song my youngest used to sing to me when she was little. Essentially it was:

“Do you like _____”?
“Yes I do”
“Do you like _____”?
“Yes I do”
“Do you like _____ _____”?
“No I don’t! Yuk”!

Now for the first blank insert the word cinnamon. The second one insert chili. For the two together insert cinnamon chili.

First of all, anyone that doesn't like Cincinnati-style chili needs to blame the Greeks, not Cincinnati.

I've eaten Wendy's chili many times and i even make a world famous traditional style chili a few times every late fall/winter.

Win/Loss record was really good in 2021 and 2022, but that's it. I haven't followed them closely enough to know what the problem was this year, but Burrow put up some really good numbers.

Oh sure, there's some cherry picking. But I made this exact comparison back in August BEFORE Burrow managed to miss the playoffs again.

Keep telling yourself that.

Through his age 27 season, Andy Dalton had been to 2 Pro Bowls and thrown for 14,750 yards and 99 TDs.

Through Burrows age 27 season Burrow has thrown for 14,000 yards and 93 TDs with a single Pro Bowl.

Through Mahomes age 27 season he'd thrown for 24,200 yards and 192 TDs. He'd made 5 Pro Bowls, 2 All Pro teams and won 2 Super Bowls (and Super Bowl MVPs).

Yes, Joe Burrow is far far FAR closer to Andy Dalton than he his Patrick Mahomes. The fact that you fellas keep trying to pretend otherwise is the real joke. Joe Burrow is barely playing the same sport as Mahomes.

Dalton wasn't better than Burrow - but he's a damn sight closer to Burrow than Burrow is to Mahomes.

I think most would agree that Jo is much better than Dalton. Dalton did lead the Bengals to five straight playoff appearances (something that Jo hasn't done), but Dalton never won a playoff game. At least Jo has done that, and of course made the one SB appearance. Plus Jo is also a fashion model.

Until he proves otherwise, “Jo” is currently among the one hit wonder likes of Matt Ryan, Chris Chandler, Mark Rypien. Nick Foles, Joe Flacco, etc.

QB’s that had one deep run that got to or won a Super Bowl, yet otherwise had a career of good stats but nothing else.

TomBarndtsTwin 01-22-2025 02:14 PM

For a reference Bengals fans and old time Chiefs fans will understand, Joe Burrow is the modern day equivalent of Ken Anderson from the 70's and 80's.

Solid QB that had 2 or 3 really good years (stat wise), even won an MVP one year (81 or 82?), led his team to a Super Bowl but lost to the Niners and Montana. Otherwise, a few 'solid' years, but a largely forgettable career outside of that. Did lead his team to four 10+ win seasons over a 10-15 year period. Didn't do anything notable in the playoffs outside of the SB year (82, I believe). Any of this sounding familiar?

I think when we look back on Joe Burrow's career, this is what it will be. Part of that is due to circumstance of playing in an AFC with 3 better QB's which will prevent him from making any real deep playoff runs more than once or twice or winning any MVP's (he may get one at some point?). He's also at the disadvantage of playing with a team and organization that doesn't care as much about winning as the other 3 QB's teams do.

So, it is what it is.

The list of debut-losing QBs of the last 30 years or so is not exactly luminous. Not to mention it's happened while Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger had their careers. Mahomes has made it difficult the last few years as well.

I'd also argue that none of them, save maybe Matt Ryan were ever considered elite at any time of their career and the vast majority of them are firmly mid.

Chiefs fans especially might want to remember that one of their very own was the first guy to lose his first before going on to win one.

Dalton didn't actually take anything anywhere. Any success he had was due to AJ Green and a very good defense.

Dalton routinely shit his pants in prime time games and especially playoff games.

Dalton has a career playoff rating of 57.8

Fifty freaking seven point eight. With one single touchdown and 6 interceptions in 4 playoff games.

The official list on PFR only goes to #50, Dan Marino and his rating was 77.1

I would guess that leaves Dalton around #393984939892293839, or so.

I had to suffer through that guys career for 9 long, dreadful years. Don't you DARE try and tell me how "good" he was!!

So Dalton was only good because of AJ Green but Burrow doesn't need Chase or Higgins.

LMAO

Elway

I remember it now. It was since the start of free agency. Only Elway played after the introduction of free agency and all of his losses were before it.

I'd also argue that none of them, save maybe Matt Ryan were ever considered elite at any time of their career and the vast majority of them are firmly mid.

Chiefs fans especially might want to remember that one of their very own was the first guy to lose his first before going on to win one.

It's all well and good to claim that your guy will be one of the extremely few to accomplish it, but the fact that so few have accomplished it should give you pause. They've been playing the Super Bowl for nearly 60 years and only THREE men have managed the feat. You really should consider that fact very carefully.

**** that. I don't back Buffalo in anything. Some fans were coming in before the last time we played them trying to get all buddy buddy because of all the playoffs in '17 and Dalton and Hamlin. I put a Buck Fuffalo in my sig in big letters and one of the mods msged me to take it down because it violated bypassing the filter or some stupid shit.

**** those guys.

It's pretty sad when someone has to post about a 3rd string RB to try jab another team.

I'd be too embarrassed to do it.

Just remember that when Perine retires, he will be attending Chiefs events, not Bengals.
