“Do you like _____”? “Yes I do” “Do you like _____”? “Yes I do” “Do you like _____ _____”? “No I don’t! Yuk”! Now for the first blank insert the word cinnamon. The second one insert chili. For the two together insert cinnamon chili. |

Why is this thread still active? Let it die. I don't think about the Bengals at all.

QB’s that had one deep run that got to or won a Super Bowl, yet otherwise had a career of good stats but nothing else. |

For a reference Bengals fans and old time Chiefs fans will understand, Joe Burrow is the modern day equivalent of Ken Anderson from the 70's and 80's.
Solid QB that had 2 or 3 really good years (stat wise), even won an MVP one year (81 or 82?), led his team to a Super Bowl but lost to the Niners and Montana. Otherwise, a few 'solid' years, but a largely forgettable career outside of that. Did lead his team to four 10+ win seasons over a 10-15 year period. Didn't do anything notable in the playoffs outside of the SB year (82, I believe). Any of this sounding familiar? I think when we look back on Joe Burrow's career, this is what it will be. Part of that is due to circumstance of playing in an AFC with 3 better QB's which will prevent him from making any real deep playoff runs more than once or twice or winning any MVP's (he may get one at some point?). He's also at the disadvantage of playing with a team and organization that doesn't care as much about winning as the other 3 QB's teams do. So, it is what it is. |

Dalton was carried to everything he ever accomplished. Burrow has had to produce with a shit Oline and defense and no real running game to speak of. Any jabroni can pull a section of stats to try and prove some dumb point. Yet it still remains a dumb point. |

Burrow has now missed the playoffs more than he's made 'em. I'm sure it was all Marvin Lewis. |
Quote:
I'd also argue that none of them, save maybe Matt Ryan were ever considered elite at any time of their career and the vast majority of them are firmly mid. Chiefs fans especially might want to remember that one of their very own was the first guy to lose his first before going on to win one. |
Quote:
Dalton routinely shit his pants in prime time games and especially playoff games. Dalton has a career playoff rating of 57.8 Fifty freaking seven point eight. With one single touchdown and 6 interceptions in 4 playoff games. The official list on PFR only goes to #50, Dan Marino and his rating was 77.1 I would guess that leaves Dalton around #393984939892293839, or so. I had to suffer through that guys career for 9 long, dreadful years. Don't you DARE try and tell me how "good" he was!! |
So Dalton was only good because of AJ Green but Burrow doesn't need Chase or Higgins.
