I'm not getting upset till we get confirmation that this was really offered to Jones. If it is true (including the "no out in the final year") then we have no recourse but to move on from Jones in my opinion. Make him play out his final year and go after D-line next year. There is no way in hell he's sitting out the regular season.

No matter what his demands are he's playing every game this year and he's not getting traded. There aren't enough teams with the cap space to bother trading him and it's just stupid business to do so.

Jones will play this year, likely ball the hell out to win another SB, and he'll be able to make top DT money if he wants.

I don’t want to see 95 leave either, but he wants #1 pay, and he needs to realize his top QB and TE don’t make number 1 paydays either. So if he holds out for #1 money, then the chiefs will be idiots to either pay him OR let him walk in FA.

IF that’s the true scenario going on, which none of us know, then I would hypothesize the chiefs will be idiots for NOT trading him.
