Always defer. Scoring last in the half and then opening the second half with a score is a powerful, powerful weapon.

It broke the Texans. They still had hope coming out of the locker at 28-24...but Patrick marched right down the field and put the stake in their heart.

If you get the ball in the second half and you’re down....it gives you a chance to get back into it. If you get the ball in the second half and you’re up...it gives you a chance to extend your lead.

We should defer at home... The fans are amped up at kick-off to start the game, and the stands are 50% full to start the second half...
