I'd keep Waiters as a 6th man/instant offense type to carry the second unit and jettison Irving.

We can wait it out and trade for him later for cheaper, or just sign him out right after no one matches their price for a guy who doesn't want to be there.

Great, now I'm not "fan enough". I'm an OKC fan. I'm also a huge NBA fan in general. I WANT to believe that OKC is committed to doing everything in their power to win; it certainly doesn't look that way. See: trading Harden, trading FOR Perk, re-signing Perk, signing Bulter, keeping Brooks, etc. Does a team that wants to win a Championship make THOSE moves?
