I just have no idea what "figuring out a way to intervene" would actually look like. A coin toss to decide a bye in the NFL playoffs?

They might. Apparently, the NFL wanted them to continue to play after the delay and the coaches/teams decided on their own to not do that.

But that isn't a tie and penalizes the Chiefs. The NFL doesn't give a shit about competitive fairness, sure, but that's a lot.

Honestly, at this point, I would have told the NFL to go **** themselves for only caring about the ****ing football game after said player just damned near died on the field, and that reports of the NFL was that they only had "5 minutes to be back on the field."

I'm glad the coaches stepped in and told them "No, we're not playing" and rightfully so.

The NFL needs to un**** their heads out of their asses and start reading the damn room.
