Pioli is good on the money side of the business?

If Reid was calling the shots on personnel and Pioli was dealing with the contracts what would be the issue?

Cause he did so good contractually with Bowe, Albert, and Carr?

Maybe Clark is making him ****ing work while he's getting everything sorted out. Just because Pioli is there doesn't mean that Hunt has had contact with the agent about Reid or that Hunt has spoken to Reid about the GM position.

"Scott, see that potted plant sitting in the corner? Make like it."

1) Think Reid is a good head coach and
2) Take Clark at his word that the Head Coach determines Pioli's fate

then

1) Reid obviously saw value in keeping Pioli or
2) Reid isn't the good head coach we thought he was

Check that logic out. I think some people's heads will explode when they read this...

He said the coach and GM will be on equal footing, and both report directly to him.

And I'm still laughing at you - you guys sound like Taylor Swift.

If he's not, oh well. Doesn't matter to me, I'll be moving on.

And you sound like htismaqe - as in WRONG AGAIN.

Andy reid, lamonte has met w KC Chiefs for over 9 hours. Owner clark hunt, pres Mark donovan, GM scott pioli and 4 others.

Well that is it. Pioli is there so I doubt we will get reid. Pioli clearly has clark under his spell. He will be the gm forever and ruin our team for years to come. No qb in the first round ever. Moore, alex smith and ryan fitz will be all on our roster in camp fighting for the job.

Wrong.

Look at 2010 and 2011 as proof.

In 2012 Morris averaged 4.8 ypc. In 2011 McGahee average 4.8 ypc. Charles is on a completely different level than those guys, averaging 6.4 ypc in 2010. The first two had success because of the running QB and the option offense. Charles had success in spite of the QB.

Any average NFL RB would be doing what Morris is doing this season or what McGahee did with Denver in 2011. Even Lance Ball averaged 4.8 ypc on nearly 100 carries.

The Chiefs have done an absolutely horrific job of choosing defensive lineman in the past decade, save for Jared Allen.

Whether we lose one or both the Chiefs d-line is not nearly as devoid of talent as you are making it out to be. Compared to what the Cardinals have to do on their o-line, our d-line is in much better shape. Our secondary is what we need to address on defense. Not the ILB you keep brining up which is one of least positions of need on any defense.

Their troubles lie squarely on the shoulders of their GM. Whiz will be a head coach in 2013. Bank it.

Yeah their o-line sucks. What is your point? That it is not going to be as easy a fix as you are suggesting? No one is arguing against that a large part of their troubles are o-line but to suggest that is an easy fix and our issues are somehow much tougher is disingenuous.

And again, a premise of yours is that Whisenhunt is a good coach, with which I agree. Well why couldn't they have a better year if they supposedly have all this talent? And if the reason they didn't have a good year is because of o-line and QB, well then you are underestimating how important those things are to that team. It is either Whisenhunt isn't that good or the talent isn't clearly better than any other teams'. Either way one of your arguments is wrong, so which do you choose?

If what we've been told is true, Clark is keeping Pioli around because he put a quota on color copies and put water meters on all the toilets in Arrowhead.

There's been absolutely ZERO speculation that Clark believes Pioli eats and breathes football. ALL of the speculation is that he's keeping Pioli because Pioli has saved him a Union Pacific train full of cash.

He's supposedly this egotistical ass, you guys think he would actually do this?

Red Dawg 01-02-2013 05:27 PM

Clark is sooooooooo in way over his head and he is a liar! All that shit he said is worthless.

ChiefMojo 01-02-2013 05:27 PM

That is true Messier... Pioli still may end being here but he won't control everything. The new HC will answer to Clark Hunt... not Scott Pioli or whomever is the GM. Equal footing working hand and hand. In the end it will be the HC making the call on personnel it seems.
