That's why I wouldn't want someone else having my dog during that time. I want them to know me, my family, our rules, and how to act in my house/yard.

I didn't get new-dog until she was (they think) a year old, and while all of you are right, I've totally loved almost perma-teleworking (when not traveling), telling downtown traffic to suck it, telling the office peeps that I'll be back from time to time (so don't clear-out my office or pull/cancel my parking card), and working with new-dog in shorts, flip-flop, and unshaven - as much as possible.

And new-dog (Ashley) might not have had the best first year, but she's loving life now and letting us know. And the neighborhood peeps were stunned that after only two months, that at a block party (hosted by casa-de-GloryDayz this year), she needed no leash, and was the dog they all wish they had.

People have no idea far a little love goes. Dogs do!

Now if I could just get her to leave the bathroom when I shit (she'd not need to gasp for air from under the door)....

While I have a pure mutt, my best man (yeah, from a long while back!!!) had, and has always had, Belgian Malinois, and I have to admit it's pretty awesome.. Lord knows they are a great breed for those who like pure bread dogs.

It was a loooong day!

We have gone without a dog for around three months but we now have a new addition to the family. Meet Sophie the Lab. She is 11 weeks old and cute as can be. She is tuckered out in this pic, we just got back from puppy kindergarten.

My wife had to take my little buddy cat Meesh Meesh to the vet this morning. He hasn't been eating. Vet said he had a throat inflammation -like a kitty sore throat- and gave him a shot. Hope he'll get better soon, he's one of my best friends.
