This is what LOSER teams do.

I think these are not the same. I think Minkah has more tread on his tires than Berry did.

Your probably right. Berry getting face raped by Gronk is really the first thing that comes to mind. However I'd say Minkah is pretty well on par with what berry did in his time. It would be hard to make a true apples to apples comparison with the way the leagues evolved.

Eric Berry was a unicorn until iirc Stevie Johnson took out his knee and from then on, his body failed him over and over.

It’s a shame because he deserved to be one of the guys with a gold jacket.

The worst part is most fans hold his health against him and remember things like Haglund and getting beat repeatedly by Gronk after multiple surgeries and cancer took away a lot of his physical ability.

They forget prime Eric Berry.

The guy that pretty much single handedly beat Atlanta with 2 interception returns to the house.

The guy that hit like a truck, but not in a dirty way.

The guy that was amazing at not only reading a QBs eyes while staying with his man, but would make the interception snd return it for 6.

We have a lot of CBs so maybe this gives him a chance to catch on with another NFL team.

Rashad Fenton, L'Jarius Sneed, Trent McDuffie, Joshua Williams, Lonnie Johnson, Deandre Baker, and Dicaprio Bootle, Brandin Dandridge, and now Chris Lammons.

I am kind of surprised that they brought back Chris Lammons considering his legal problems.

This and he sucks. He won't make the final 52.

Wilson8 06-17-2022 11:02 AM

It is pretty interesting and telling, that 30-years old starting LB Anthony Hitchens is still unsigned by an NFL team.

Other unsigned former Chiefs players -
DE Alex Okafor
LB Dorian O'Daniel

I think Anthony Hitchens could still play football if given a chance. He suffered from the same thing as some other 2021 Chiefs Defenders. Why risk an injury or play too hard, when you have Patrick Mahomes to win the game for you?

Just to be clear. I don't want him back, but just surprised some team like the Washington Commanders hasn't signed.

Patriots trading N’Keal Harry to Bears

Quote:

In exchange for Harry, the Patriots will receive a 2024 seventh-round draft pick.

A first-round pick in 2019, Harry never truly found his footing with New England. He played just seven games in his rookie year with five starts, making 12 catches for 105 yards with a pair of touchdowns. Then in 2020, he appeared in 14 games with nine starts, catching 33 passes for 309 yards.
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...arry-to-bears/

He will be competing with WR Byron Pringle and 3rd round draft pick Velus Jones Jr.

Eh, Darnell Mooney is a really under the radar but talented young WR, and Cole Kmet is a nice young piece at TE. It's the OL that's the real issue.

On paper outside of Mooney?

Sure, but Mooney is a legit talent that had over 1,000 yards in year 2, and would've had a lot more plus more TDs with better QB play.

And Velus Jones Jr. is one of the most exciting mid round WRs from this year's draft class. He's extremely athletic/explosive, and with time could prove to be a good #2 alongside Mooney.

Then there's Kmet, who looks like he can be one of the better TEs outside of the elite 3-4. I'm not saying it's a good/proven group of weapons just yet, but there's talent there.

At this point I just PRAY the Chiefs keep ALL of their draft picks - WE are going to need each and every one of them for EDGE and OT preferably LT next draft - IN Kansas City! :thumb:

Unfortunately we don’t have the capital in next year alone to get into typical LT or premiere edge range. So I’d argue if you can make a deal, make a deal.

Kinda crazy though they have evans, Godwin, and now Julio jones. That’s damn good assuming Godwin comes back to pre injury form and Julio can be even %80 of his former self. Only 2 years ago Julio put up 1600 yards .

My thought as well… I think the thought of playing with Brady before he retires and then play for a ring enticed his decision to go there as well.

People will do the same in 15 years with mahomes tbh.

That's a long time to wait lol I often wish our Chiefs had that draw and desire for star players like the Rams and Bucs, but I understand and respect the plan to build a younger team of quality players closer to Pat's age.

We're like the Pats with Brady, not the Bucs.

Godwin probably starts on pup and Julio is the luxury that keeps them from pushing him.

The draft fell in a way that secondary was rich for them. Theres only so many resources to go around. The Hill/Brown deal put them in an awkward spot in early FA. They still could have and should have addressed it with one more capable guy in hindsight, but hindsight's 20/20.

Yeah the Browns really have their finger on the pulse of the QB position. No surprise that they wanted Moobs Wilson at the end of his career. Here's a list of their QBs since 2000:

2000 Doug Pederson (8) / Tim Couch (7) / Spergon Wynn (1)
2001 Tim Couch (16)
2002 Tim Couch (14) / Kelly Holcomb (2)
2003 Kelly Holcomb (8) / Tim Couch (8)
2004 Jeff Garcia (10) / Luke McCown (4) / Kelly Holcomb (2)
2005 Trent Dilfer (11) / Charlie Frye (5)
2006 Charlie Frye (13) / Derek Anderson (3)
2007 Derek Anderson (15) / Charlie Frye (1)
2008 Derek Anderson (9) / Brady Quinn (3) / Ken Dorsey (3) / Bruce Gradkowski (1)
2009 Brady Quinn (9) / Derek Anderson (7)
2010 Colt McCoy (8) / Jake Delhomme (4) / Seneca Wallace (4)
2011 Colt McCoy (13) / Seneca Wallace (3)
2012 Brandon Weeden (15) / Thad Lewis (1)
2013 Jason Campbell (8) / Brandon Weeden (5) / Brian Hoyer (3)
2014 Brian Hoyer (13) / Johnny Manziel (2) / Connor Shaw (1)
2015 Josh McCown (8) / Johnny Manziel (6) / Austin Davis (2)
2016 Cody Kessler (8) / Robert Griffin III (5) / Josh McCown (3)
2017 DeShone Kizer (15) / Kevin Hogan (1)
2018 Baker Mayfield (13) / Tyrod Taylor (3)
2019 Baker Mayfield (16)
2020 Baker Mayfield (16)
2021 Baker Mayfield (14) / Case Keenum (2) / Nick Mullens (1)

Bowser 07-27-2022 01:29 PM

Seneca Wallace, wow.

Still plenty available. If we were to add another player, where would you add it?

I am thinking we could still use some experience in the secondary.

JPP to solidify another pass rush weapon. I haven’t seen a single mention of Kaindoh so I’m assuming he’s not worth carrying beyond the PS. I don’t think we have a single DE on the roster capable of handling a full workload and Spags typically prefers to rotate anyways so might as well stock up on Vets to cement that position group.

We could trade for Teven Jenkins - Cheap, we really don't have much at OT if OBJ walks.

Skyy God 08-03-2022 01:34 PM

Saints first round OT has been kicked out of practice for fighting 3 days in a row, lol.

It's worth pointing out that he is also the guy that someone pointed to as the guy that we should've made a move to go up and get (instead of paying Brown).

If they want to move on, I’d gladly send a 2 or 3 and Kinnard for Penning.

**** Penning. There’s a fine line between being aggressive and being a ****ing idiot. He’s on the idiot side.
