I am watching that right now. Looks like he's beating it. Dude is a beast. He just put his head down and ****ing took that thing head on. I think he actually broke the brick wall. Kudos to him if he does.

Edit- Well, he may not, but he's still putting up a hell of a battle.

You are a liar. I have proof.

Earlier in this thread I said that last Friday Nick had been claiming three things: 1) Clark and Pioli had their interview, 2) Clark offered Pioli the job, and 3) Pioli was just a few hours away from giving KC, the Pats, and the Browns his decision.

I also made reference to Nick getting you to post news to that effect.

Remember that little sig bet you had about the Chargers? If you look in that thread, I suggested that you be forced to keep a picture of Pioli in your sig along with the text of that completely inaccurate post of yours, with the BS info Nick was making you spread. That way, every one of your posts would be an advertisement of how much WPI sucks.

I dont know how that whole sig bet ended up, but I thought it was a funny idea. How lucky for me that when I thought of it, I was able to get my grubby little hands on a screencap of your post. I was going to include it when I posted my suggestion, but I didnt. Funny, just this morning I came across that pic and was going to delete it. I am kinda glad that I kept it.

Please note the posting date of 1/2/2009, which was indeed last Friday as I said. And also please note that even though I was talking about Nick when I listed those three items he was claiming, your post also makes reference to ALL THREE OF THEM.

I repeat, you are a liar. And you arent even a good one.

Its such a shame that you will be missing this since you have me on ignore. But hey, you have already given your last word on the subject, so what do you care?

It's scary, but the people there seem so excited at having "insider access" that they don't even seem to notice when Nick is wrong. There's a thread in the free area where paying members are encouraging people to sign up because of all the "scoops" Nick has been providing. There were one or two people disagreeing when I saw it, but the fact anyone would start a thread like that at all is concerning.

I'm sure Claythan will say this is all a lie, but in the last day or two there was a mainstream article mentioning that Clark is friends with the son of the Pats' owner. Someone pointed it out and Nick was like "I told you that WEEKS ago!!!!!"

And now some of the subscribers are like "Nick tells us things weeks before you hear it anywhere else!". I think this was even brought up in that thread I mentioned.

The thing is, nobody ever said two words about Clark being friends with the Krafts' son until Clark said it himself in that interview on 810 after Carl resigned. That's where the story came from. Right from Clark when Petro asked him about other owners in the NFL he's close to.

But Nick is acting like he reported it and the goobers who pay him are in lock step right behind him. They're all drinking the kool-aid, they're all cutting off their testicles and waiting for the spaceship.

That's just a taste of what it's like. It is a sorry state of affairs.

If he's twisting Nick's words, then so am I, because I said he was right.

Not that this is even up for debate anymore with Boris' last post, but those things did get reported, you know they did, and we haven't even gotten to the stuff about Cowher and Shanahan that Nick was piling on that night.

What gets me is when he puts words in caps for no reason. This is a completely made up example, but he'll be like "Our league source tells me THERE will be no deal reached tonight". Why is "there" in caps? I could see putting "NO" in caps, but he always seems to pick a totally random word.

I don't get it.

So supposedly they said on Metro Sports that Pioli should be announced as GM in a day or two. I say "supposedly" because in no way did I see this for myself, but other people swear they did.

To put it midly, I'd be surprised if Dave Stewart was the one person in the world who managed to get the scoop. But I guess stranger things have happened.

Sure-Oz 01-08-2009 03:23 AM

Probably going off that internet post....

i say we'll hear something about him either why before the weekend or monday...they really can't wait too damn long esp after they met.

That would be both hilarious and totally unsurprising.

ZootedGranny 01-08-2009 03:26 AM

The only scoop I can remember Metro Sports getting was years back when they broke the story that Priest Holmes was undergoing hip surgery.

Hunt is perhaps the only GM seeker at the moment who is going to allow his new GM significant input in hiring or keeping a coach. Other teams are already looking for HCs and some already hired a head coach.

This should lure Pioli in knowing that Clark is going to give him the autonomy he is looking for and that shall play to our advantage.

Clark is a smart guy. He is not a football guy and he knows it. So what does he do. He goes out and gets the best football guy he can (arguably) and gives him the power to handle the whole franchise. He doesnt seem to have the big Ego that some other owners do.

bowener 01-08-2009 06:13 AM

This sudden veil of secrecy seems eerily similar to the same tactics that the Pats always use. So, based on that observable fact, I am going to break this nugget to WPI for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clearly, Pioli has already been hired for the GM position. Unfortunately we WILL never know that he has been hired, because we are now under the VEIL, and the Pats, being under an IDENTICAL veil, will never disclose that he may or may not be working for them anymore. Boys, we have entered THE home stretch. This deal is as good as done!!!!!!1!!!!11!!!!!!!ONE!!!!!1!!!!
