I agree. I think he's going to be a star.

He’s throwing a TD pass against Denver later this season. You heard it here first.

Pacheco had a couple of passes in his college highlights, so I guess I will go ahead and call it now, against the Raiders in a meaningless game 17 because the 1 seed is locked up.

I love that he was a QB. That certainly helps Kelce to understand where Pat wants him to go.

Oh thank God.

I was really pretty concerned I'd fumbled into "man, do they REALLY all look alike?"

Because that guy is a dead ringer for HB.

Not just the tats and skin tone, it's his like...body shape.

He looks athletic as hell.

I don’t think it’s a rush to judgement, at all. I was a fan of the pick (I also took him in the CP mock for the Steelers in the second) but when you take a position like running back, linebacker, safety, IOL, DT in the first round of the draft, they need to be a stud to meet the value of the pick.

I look at first round picks as ways to balance the cap as a big factor in a pick that high. If you hit on a solid #2 WR, that’s a surplus value of 15-20m per season over what you need to pay a FA to do the same job. A QB gives you 40-50m in surplus value. So on and so on. Running backs get paid in NFL food stamps, so to pick one in the first round actually hurts your cap.

You gotta view those first rounders as opportunities to not only get a good young player, but the positional value needs to be accounted for.

For CEH to be worth the spot he was drafted, he needs to be one of the best running backs in the league snd he’s probably not even top 20 if we really look into it. He was VASTLY outplayed by pretty much every other back last year. McKinnon was night and day better.

Even to me, that’s a bust.

BWillie 05-25-2022 01:00 AM

Who would like to bet me that as long as they both play equal amount of games (or similar games) that Sky Moore will average more yards than Mecole Hardman?

I think this is reasonable. I absolutely hate seeing a RB taken in the first round. If it happens they have to be a receiving threat and a home-run threat. On the former you could argue CEH hasn't been given lots of opportunities, on the latter he's just never threatened it.

Whether we call him a bust or not isn't the point, he's been a bad pick. If he's going to be considered a decent one he's going to have to put up some very solid numbers before his rookie contract is up.

Tyreek dropped a lot of balls right in his hands last year. Definitely still an all-pro player, but not a great trend. I think Hill's drops could be one factor in the Chiefs being ok with trading him away that doesn't get mentioned much.

INT 1 = Inside the 30
INT 2 - Pick 6
INT 3 - Inside the 10
INT 5 - Inside the 10
INT 6 - Inside the 40
INT 7 - Inside the 35

You clean that up and be are an easy 1 seed.

Thats a lot of bad luck that's not going to happen again. Those plays turned the outcome of those games around.

So you wanted your all pro wide out to take unnecessary hits instead of stepping out and playing another down?

This board is stupid sometimes. Tyreek was a ****ing stud last year. Was he perfect? No.

It's ok to admit we lost a stud. Brett and Andrew have a plan in place. We can accept that he was great and hes not here anymore.

Skyy Moore comes from a small school (Western Michigan) but that doesn't mean he can't be "NFL ready".

Hitch, out, crossing, slant, go and in routes make up 65% of routes in the NFL.

Drake London and Christian Watson woof.

Kiimo 06-21-2022 08:22 AM

I went on record that Drake London (and to a lesser extent Dotson) was going to be a bust and unless he is somehow the contested catch king in the NFL like he was in college I really don't think he's going to live up to that draft position.

I'm not sure who talked me out of Christian Watson (staylor?) but they seem to be 100% correct. Something tells me Green Bay is not going to run him on many slants. Yikes.

Also Dai'Jean Dixon might be worth a dynasty draft pickup. Off the field stuff tanked him but the numbers look good. Granted he played at some place called Nicholls State so...yeah

Right.

Matter of fact, Next Gen Stats hasn't had him with the fastest speed in about 2 seasons.

I attribute it to the added bulk he put on.

He's still stupid fast, just not quite as fast as he was early in his career.

Matter of fact, Chris Simms mentioned this in one of his more recent pods.

I think he just didn’t go all out much. It’s hard for me to believe he’s lost a step on that Buffalo crosser. He beat the angles on 2 really good safeties and flat out embarrassed the CB.

Tell me about it, it's like Darrell Green turned 60 and flat forgot how to sprint.

I’m not sure that would be a good thing because that means the defense was a failure much like 2018.

Here are some notable receivers Andy has had in his offenses through the years -

Desean Jackson, 2008 -

Jeremy Maclin, 2009
56 rec on 91 tgts, 773 yds, 4 TDs, 31 1Ds

Tyreek Hill, 2016
61 rec on 83 tgts, 593 yds, 6 TDs, 31 1Ds

I don't think he has a choice. One of our WRs will rise to the top and I think it'll be either Skyy or honestly, Hardman. I'm not the biggest Hardman can, but I think right now he's at worst our 2nd best WR. Moore our 3rd and that's just because he's a rookie. If he progresses how we hope, I don't see how by midseason he's not our #2 WR based on targets.

Absolutely this! Time to dust off "Marty Ball." RUN THE ROCK! I have high hopes for this offense but it takes all facets of it to make it happen.

Tell me you’re a moron without telling me…..

You guys need to temper your year one expectations for Moore a bit.

When Hill and Desean were rookies, they didn't have 3 vets in front of them.

Moore will have a package of plays to start more than likely, and that will expand as the season goes on. But he's unlikely to take snaps from Juju, who is an entirely different body type, MVS, who's a blazing speed deep threat, and Hardman who has been in this system now for 3 years and will get a lot of Hill's jet sweep/screen/ specialty stuff.

After Kelce it will be Juju.

Kelce is a tight end. I'm talking about WRs.

There are only so many targets to go around.

He was a 2nd rounder. He needs to hit the ground running.
