We need some of that for a satisfactory ending |

If this show is going to end without Costner, I feel like we need an obligatory blood-letting as just payment for putting up with this shit, lol. Some mfrs needs to die gory and awful deaths, and I need Beth orchestrating it. Hopefully in a blood-red leather dress and black metal bustier. Maybe with a samurai sword in hand. Maybe get Uma Thurman to cameo? If no bastards die terribly, you definitely owe me a beer, just saying. |

You and I really need to be consultants on a TV show. We obviously know a lot better than these fools how to write a good ending. |
Just as an aside... has the show ever mentioned what tribe Rainwater represents?
If I recall correctly from my childhood around Great Falls MT, the three major tribes up there were Blackfoot, Crow, and Sioux |

Don’t quote me, but I think they said they’re Crow? Or maybe I got that from 1923? Idk |
Did anyone notice the previews have been saying season finale and not series finale?

Sheridan is just setting up his next series, gotta keep this cash hog fat and happy and rolling along |
The show has become a giant ad for Taylor Sheridan and his ****ing business. No story anymore

I’d bet that they run out of options bc of money and the 6666 ranch ends up cutting a deal with Beth and Kaycee to buy the ranch and/or keep it going with those two in charge. Then the spinoff will include this somehow. Gotta keep the 6666’s in the picture so Sheridan can keep charging Paramount to film at his ****ing ranch |
I guess it is just me, but when the show becomes more about the producer and less about the sum of the characters in the show, I start to lose interest.
I do like his other shows, but this one is starting to border on being an afterthought on Sheridan's mind. JMHO... |

So I was at pizza ranch today and I thought that a Yellowstone restaurant franchise would go over well
|
This is ****ing stupid.
|
Good ending for the show. Cleaned things up. Can go in multiple directions for a spinoffs if Sheridan wants to keep making money.
|
Hated it. They have killed a ton of people and got away with it. Beth is every woman's dream life. Kill a man she hates, be drunk her whole life, talk and treat anyone however she wants, be a total slut and have the man she loves not care. It's reduculous. Jamie is never found and cops don't even ask a question. It's totally stupid.

I am a very happy person. But I don't think shows should try and spin killers into the heroes. This show does that. The Duttons are shit and RIP is a mass murderer. John is a loser. He got himself killed and lost the land. 141 years and he lost it. Effing arrogant idiot.
|
I thought they landed the plane alright. They'd written themselves into a few corners here and there but by and large did about as well as could be expected in such a sprawling environment that can't really HAVE an ending.
|
I'm like 20 minutes from the end of this epic adventure, and Sheridan is closing with Lainey Wilson shaking her ass instead of something substantial
Can this ending get any worse? Stay tuned! |
Well if Lainey Wilson's ass is anything, I'd say it's 'substantial'

Also, no manhunt for a missing attorney general? They just accept Beth's story at face value? That's some "ABC After School Special" bullshit. |
I just wonder what show y'all have been watching.
If you took it this far and NOW is when you're unwilling to suspend disbelief, I just don't know what to tell ya. |

Can you imagine the national news cycle if there were just random gunfights on the streets of small town Montana, bombs going off all over the place and the amount of casual murder we've seen in this show? This isn't any more/less wild than anything that this show has seen from the first episode forward. Reality has never been its strong suit. |
Don’t like that they didn’t conclude Lloyd’s character. Also bizarre that Teeter was assigned to a horse named “Man Killer” like a month after her boyfriend was killed by a horse.
The finale was fine. Not bad. Sure as hell not Breaking Bad finale amazing, but fine. |

I mean he essentially retired, no? I suspect he'll show up on occasion in the spin-off but I got the impression that he just saw this as the right time to hang 'em up. It was either that or work for Rip. What the hell else is an old Cowboy who's just worked that single ranch his entire adult life going to do? He's not going to go down to Texas. He's not going to come on as an new hand in some ranch in Montana and start over. And when the offer was there to work for Rip and he didn't want to do so, that made it pretty clear that he was just ready to retire. I didn't think it was that ambiguous really. |
Seems like the tribe could've given the Duttons more than just one house and a few acres of land after all they've been through together... thats just shitty writing IMO
Not sure I'm gonna be able to give a damn about the Beth/Rip spinoff after watching this show go out with a whimper Sheridans arrogance is killing everything he does |

I mean they sold the place for $1.25 million, right? Had they asked for $10 million, hell $100 million, Rainwater probably says yes. I mean it's probably a $5+ BILLION dollar property. Kaycee could've called his shot. He got what he asked for because that's all he wanted. I mean anybody that's run a shop of any sort can tell you that sometimes you really just wanna downsize and take care of yourself and your family. You don't need to conquer the world - just set yourself up nicely for the next few decades. Kaycee got that. His 'paltry' 5,000 or whatever acres will do him just fine. The only thing that doesn't make a ton of sense to me is the idea that they simply had no estate tax protections in place to remove the bulk of the assets directly from under John. That's the FIRST thing they'd have done after his cancer stuff in season 2. But it is what it is. Like I said, at a point you really do need to shut your brain off a bit with this show (and just about any show like it). |

It was stupid and had been stupid for a couple of years. Gangster ranchers is idiotic. The show had no good guys. Duttons are killers but they want you to believe they are the good guys after years of killing ranch hands to cover up other their other murders. Rip is a mass murderer with zero remorse. No investigation in the attorney general vanishing from the earth. A RIP and best spin off is a flop. Rip is a simp that married the town drunk, town slut and a total **** that treated everyone with hate.
