Absolutely correct. He made the right read, but made a bad throw. Everyone focuses on the throw, but forgets that the read was right. It’s not like he threw into triple coverage.

No, but he threw it squarely to the other team. I love Mahomes, but that was a terrible miss.

BigRedChief 12-31-2017 03:49 PM

I guess we better get use to this. Brilliant throws then an interception

thabear04 12-31-2017 03:49 PM

Damn that safety from the Chiefs might be out for the whole game. Might even land on the IR too hopefully he recovers.

It was first down.... That's how it was different than a 3 and out.. no ints inside the 35 yd line, let alone on first down are good. Mahommes is the man next year and I'm excited, but don't make stupid comments.

ARROW2 12-31-2017 03:49 PM

Today with Smiff. 3 points and no picks

Mahomes, 7 points and 1 pick. Take it every time.

No way Smiff throws that pass to Harris on 3rd and 10.

Let me know when he ends the game with 4 or 5 INts. Until then.....you’re ****ing way off.

RunKC 12-31-2017 03:50 PM

Pat is trying to do too much. He needs to settle down and start making plays in the intermediate part of the field

No, stop with this stupidity. At some point you have to give him the reigns. Might as well be next year and recoup some value from Alex after this season

He is doing fine without Kelce and Tyreek Hill out there. Stupid not to play him or start him next season. He is ready and has this offseason to work on things he can learn from this game.

So true. Better yet how is it any different than your rookie running back losing a fumble on his first carry? I think that turned out OK.

Mahomes hasn't had accuracy issues in the past. Problems are making throws he shouldn't make. I'll chalk that up to an atypical mistake.

How much more can he learn sitting on the bench? At some point he has to play and we aren’t winning anything with AS.

Rain Man 12-31-2017 03:51 PM

Chesson fought for that final two yards.

Yeah we got to the 26 if he took a knee it would have been put clear back on the 25

Don't coach that out of him.

And he will. It's the entire reason he's starting this game.

I'm happy they're letting him play his game and hope they don't dial it back.

If you keep Alex for one more year, then you’ll let him walk in FA for nothing.

I've been a season ticket holder. I subscribed to the Chiefs newsletter b4 the internet days. I've been a chiefs fan for 55 years. I am the best grill master in all of kc

Rain Man 12-31-2017 03:53 PM

Not Mahomes' fault.

Hammock Parties 12-31-2017 03:53 PM

Way to set up the punter with the designed sack, Pat!

Learning fast.

RINGLEADER 12-31-2017 03:53 PM

Rasputin 12-31-2017 03:53 PM

Coach 12-31-2017 03:54 PM

70 and 75 got straight up owned on that one. What the hell was Irving doing? Help the guard push the guy back inside.

pugsnotdrugs19 12-31-2017 03:54 PM

The drive was doomed after the snap.

It's all Andy's strategy.

If it was Alex at QB Clay would be blaming Alex for the sack.

JakeF 12-31-2017 03:54 PM

Looks like a complete 2nd string offensive line in now. Might as well be a preseason game we aren't finding out anything about Mahomes in this game.

ChiTown 12-31-2017 03:54 PM

We may want to mix in a run once and a while before we get #15 killed

threebag 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

Christ 4&31 that series sucked ass

MMXcalibur 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

Mahomes deserves better!

Rain Man 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

Graystoke 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

NIUhuskies 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

the oline better not get Pat killed today

Titty Meat 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

Really sucks that out best Defensive lineman has to play today

dirk digler 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

I love it. This experience will be huge for him

kcpasco 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

I’m not going to get upset over this game. It’s backups and a rookie qb.

Ming the Merciless 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

They probably should have agreed to a tie and not even played this crap LOL

jimidollar 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

Terrible.

Pitt Gorilla 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

Interception completely changed momentum.

Strummers 12-31-2017 03:55 PM

Alex missed his chance being a chiefs QB FOR ‘18 LAST YEAR. if alex won a super bowl or was a play from being in the super bowl and he was having a similar year this year then he would end his contract imo. Alex will be on a competitive team next year - simple as that

I think Erving may also have been at fault on the sack even though Witzmann clearly got beat. Erving looked over and didn't help.
