Just watched the condensed version of the Faid game. Another example of misleading statistics, IMO.
Carr actually played pretty well in the first half. That o-line thought ... whoo. I can see why he was dumping it off so much. I also think that was a big part of Chucky's gameplan, to be honest. Carr's got nothing to work with there. Lynch can only carry the ball so many times and he's no spring chicken. FAX |

On a per-pass basis Smith smokes ALL of them in worthless lateral passing. With the others it just seems indicative of a high number of attempts. |

Meh I think what Gruden is doing is necessary. He knows he's not winning shit with Carr and that team is going to require a proper rebuild. Might as well eliminate the biggest cap hogs on the roster and start from the bottom up. He's going about this very differently than any other coach would in part because of his 10 year deal. He's just fixing that roster like a guy with that kind of time would.
But I still think he's ****ed. He took the job right when the best QB in NFL history emerged and it just so happened that QB is in his division. Bet he wishes he had taken the job in Tampa after seeing what Mahomes can do. |

I think Gruden keeps Carr! Carr has been in a few different systems and the only time he was in the 2nd year of a system (2016) he took the Raiders to a 12-3 record. And that year was all on him while having a record setting crappy defense.
Does Mahomes have such a great year if he was learning a new offense this year? He had all last year to learn Reid’s offense and seems very comfortable in it. Besides who replaces Carr? |

Gruden is a total blow hard meat head but 3 first rounders is a lot and 67 mil is a lot. You can get better real quick. Problem will be over spending because he's not a coach players probably want to play for. Carr is also another problem. Chances are he will pick his own so they will be starting over.
