Wow never would've thought chiefs would help me out
But big decision now is Mahomes or Watson I'll have my picks later this week |

Yep rainman ive always believed in Watson but starting to lean towards Mahomes now still undecided.
|
I think I'm really going to kick myself for passing on Hunt... Might mull over that decision a bit.

It'll be interesting to see how the running backs play out. As someone who was desperate for running back help, it was great to see prospects that I liked in nearly every round. I'm not sure if I overpaid with Kamara in the 2nd and Perine in the 3rd, but I was so talent-depleted that I had no choice. But I think there may be some good players coming out of the later rounds.
|
Had to tweak mine up a bit. Decided to go a bit higher on DE and go OG in 3 instead. Decided to kick Santos to the curb. Went up and got Blair Brown instead at LB. We'll see what happens now in final free agency days. Maybe KC will save my ass and pick up an ILB so I don't have to draft about 4 of them next year.
|
It may have been dumb for me to draft Caleb Brantley. I have too many defensive tackles and need linebackers badly. But my die is cast. I'll hope he turns into a non-woman-punching star.
|
I'm hoping to eventually get a ****ing WR since I passed on Hill.

What do we do in regards to the UDFAs/Camp Invites should they make the cut? Can we add them. I'm really interested in a few players if they make it.

Once a guy's on your roster, you can also keep him regardless of whether the Chiefs keep him. For example, the Chiefs cut Bowe, but I kept him on my roster for another year because I figured he was a better roster spot than anyone else I had. (Yeah, I know. Bad decision.) The only guys who are ever forcibly removed from your team are guys who leave the Chiefs in free agency. But recall as well that if you cut a guy, you can never bring him back. For example, I cut Charcandrick West back when he was training camp fodder, so when he came back and caught onto the roster, I couldn't add him. |
Thanks Rain Man.

Then I'll cut it down before season |
Question 937...
If the Chiefs drafted a player that you chose not to draft (e.g. Ramik Wilson) and they subsequently release that player but later re-sign him to the roster or practice squad, can you choose to then add that player as a free agent addition since they technically are a FA at that point? |
Quote:
|
Quote:
This would effectively stop anyone from picking up players that are bounced between the active roster and the PS as well, since the player has to clear waivers in that process and is effectively a FA when signed in either direction. Basically, we're setting the following ways to add players to your roster: 1. Draft a player. 2. The Chiefs sign a free agent that had prior contractual obligations to another team to their active roster. 3. The Chiefs sign an undrafted free agent to their active roster. Any of the above may first go to the practice squad, then to the active roster, but the other prerequisites must hold. |

My rookie report is as follows after one preseason week. The draft spots are mine, not the NFL's.
5th round QB Nathan Peterman is playing well enough that some people are calling to move him up to the #2 QB spot as a rookie. He's currently listed with the 3rd string. 2nd round RB Alvin Kamara is impressing, and appears to be positioning himself for a prominent role in passing situations. He's listed as third string behind Mark Ingram and Adrian Peterson, but is positioned for playing time. 3rd round RB Samaje Perine came out with the first string in the recent game, but had a bad preseason debut for a number of reasons, and was called out by the coaches. He's listed as 3rd string, though. 7th round WR Malachi Dupre was sent to the hospital after being hit in the face after a catch. He's in concussion protocol. He's the 4th string WR at the moment. 3rd round G Dorian Johnson appears to be the third string RG for the Cardinals at the moment. 4th round FS Desmond King is currently the third string FS in San Diego, though reports are that he's in a three-way fight for the starting job, and it's "open". He's avoided the Chargers injury curse so far. 6th round OLB Ejuan Price is currently listed on the 3rd string for the Rams, and I'm not seeing any camp reports about him. It'll be hard for him to beat out Robert Quinn for the starting spot this year, and he needs to beat Matt Longacre out of the #2 spot first. 1st round DE Taco Charlton is listed as the 2nd-string RDE in Dallas behind Tyrone Crawford, and apparently has been pounded by the coaching staff. 6th round DE Ifeadi Odeinigbo is currently listed as the 3rd-string LDE amid reports that he's played well in camp but made mistakes in the first preseason game. Danielle Hunter and Brian Robison are two veterans in front of him. 5th round DT Caleb Brantley broke a finger (his own, not his girlfriend's) a couple of weeks ago and hasn't been practicing. He's apparently back on the field now, but is buried at 4th on the depth chart at DT. It appears that Kamara and Peterman are my two camp stars, and Dorian Johnson isn't making the progress I expected. |

As for my picks... I like the flashes a few are showing: Mahomes, Blair Brown, Stacy Coley, Chris Carson, and Zane Gonzalez have all been impressive. I can't say Watkins has looked terrible, but he isn't going to start this year. |
Draft Pick Report Update
1-010: Patrick Mahomes II, QB, Texas Tech (10 KC) Appears to be locking in the #2 spot in Kansas City and has definitely shown he'll be the future. 2-059: Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE, Villanova (59 KC) Has flashed some abilities, but definitely has some development to do. KC really needs to lock him into a position, but it seems they are just trying to get another pass rusher on the field in multiple ways at this point. Listed as 2nd string RDE. 3-104: Dorian Johnson, OG, Pittsburgh (115 ARZ) Remains buried on the depth chart as the #3 RG, which is concerning to me. 4-132: Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson (142 HOU) As of most recent depth chart, was moved to 3rd string RDE. 3 tackles in 1 GP in preseason 5-148: Blair Brown, ILB, Ohio (148 JAX) Currently listed as 3rd string WLB. 13 tackles in 3 GP in preseason 5-180: Aaron Jones, RB, Texas El-Paso (182 GB) Currently listed as 3rd string RB. Limited action in 2 games. with only a handful of touches. 6-218: Stacy Coley, WR, Miami (219 MIN) Buried on depth chart, outside 6 at this point. Looked good with limited touches (5 for 84) and has did some returning so far. 7-222: Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona State (224 CLE) In camp battle with Cody Parkey for the starting gig. has made his only FG attempt and both XP. 7-245: Christopher Carson, RB, Oklahoma State (249 SEA) Not sure where he sits exactly, but with Rawls and Procise out he started against KC. He'll make the team. 21 carries for 92 yards w/ 2 td and 4 rec for 64 yards. |
Okay, we need to cut down to 53 before opening day.
I've got some interesting choices to make. |
Quote:
Also want to clarify that we only lose FA's and not guys the Chiefs decide to waive (for instance if we had Maclin and Howard and wish to continue to retain them, can we). |
Cardinals waived OG Dorian Johnson.
Johnson was a highly ranked prospect who fell to the fourth round of this year's draft simply because of medical concerns, so it is surprising to see him on the cut list. The Cardinals likely hope he will slip through waivers and to their practice squad. |
Quote:
Stashed on practice squad. This ****s me pretty hard. Now I might have to accept the Chiefs trade for Cam Erving... Yuck. Not the only one I took it up the ass on this week. Chargers waived Josh Perry then put him on IR after he cleared waivers and the Browns cut Rashard Higgins after they made 5 waiver claims. I might have 3 roster slots taken up by guys on IR already (Perry, Nelson, Ware) and I'm waiting to make a decision at WR until I see if Higgins gets picked up. If he isn't by Wednesday night and decide to hang onto him, I could be saving a roster spot for nothing... grrr. |
Quote:
If you have a guy on your roster who was traded, you can accept or reject the trade. And yes, you only lose free agents who leave the Chiefs. You can keep Maclin or Howard if you want, or anyone else who was outright cut. You only lose people if they leave in free agency. The latter gives you a long-term incentive to not draft Chiefs, since for convenience you won't lose a non-Chief if he leaves his drafted team. It would be nice if we lost anyone who moved via free agency, but early on we were worried that it would be hard to track everyone. So it's a bit of an advantage to us compared to real NFL GM's, but we also face some disadvantages too, in that we can't force our guy into the lineup. |
Man, I thought Dorian Johnson was going to help me, and not only is he a practice squadder, but the Vikings cut Alex Boone at my other guard position.
The funny thing is that I needed a guard and center last year, so I drafted Cody Whitehair at guard and Evan Boehm at center. Whitehair moved to center and is starting, and Boehm was recently moved to guard and is now starting. So that worked out. And Boehm is starting at the spot where Dorian Johnson is competing, so I've got that going for me. |
Quote:
We don't get the luxury of adding free agents/waivers or trading for players like NFL GMs, so at least being able to accept traded for players would be nice. Very important in my roster development. |
Quote:
|
Ha. The Cardinals just signed Alex Boone. I now have three Arizona guards on my roster. I'm at least guaranteed to have at least one starter out of that group.
|
Here are the trades.
If you've never cut David King, you can accept the trade with the Titans for a conditional 2018 7th round pick. Your other option is to reject the trade and make him one of your 53. You can trade a conditional 5th round pick in 2018 for Cameron Erving, or you can reject the trade. You can trade a conditional 4th round pick in 2019 for Reggie Ragland, or you can reject the trade. If DJ Alexander is on your current training camp roster, you can trade him for Kevin Pierre-Louis. Alternately, you can reject the trade and keep Alexander on your roster or cut him. Your final 53 can include any of the following: Players traded for (within the rules above). Players on the current Chiefs roster that you've never cut, excluding players the Chiefs drafted (and you didn't) and players the Chiefs traded for (and you didn't). Players who were waived by the Chiefs since the Super Bowl, as long as you've never cut that player from your team. You cannot include players that left the Chiefs via free agency, or any player that you've ever cut from your team, unless the Chiefs also waived them and then brought them back. I think I've got that all correct. The easier way to put it is that you can keep... Players who were on the roster when you started playing, as long as you've never cut them. Players you've drafted. Free agents signed by the Chiefs since your last roster cutdown. Traded players if you accepted the trade. |
I'm pretty pleased with my team coming into the year, because I had to cut several players that I wish I could keep.
First off, the trades. David King is not on our roster, so his trade is void. We reject the trade of a conditional 5th round pick in 2018 for Cameron Erving. We will give up a conditional 4th round pick in 2019 for Reggie Ragland. DJ Alexander is not on our roster, so there will be no trade for Kevin Pierre-Louis. Here's my 53-man roster. Rookies are in red. QB Russell Wilson (Seahawks) Brett Hundley (Packers) Nathan Peterman (Bills) Youth and talent here. I like this group. RB Alvin Kamara (Saints) Samaje Perine (Redskins) Jamaal Charles (former Chiefs) C.J. Spiller. (Bills/Saints/Chiefs) We're going young here as our workhorses, with a couple of veterans getting spot duty. Overall, I like this group even though it's unproven at the top. WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs/Ravens) Donte Moncrief (Colts) Kendall Wright (Titans/Bears) Albert Wilson (Chiefs) Malachi Dupre (Packers) Not big names, but productive. Definitely a workable group if not stars. TE Travis Kelce (Chiefs) Ben Koyack (Jaguars) Anthony Fasano (Titans/Dolphins) Kelce's a star, and the other two are reasonable backups. I'm fine here. OT Mitchell Schwartz (Browns/Chiefs) Morgan Moses (Redskins) Menelik Watson (Raiders/Broncos) Corey Robinson (Lions) Schwartz has to move to LT, but he can do it and Moses is strong at RT. This is a reasonable group. I've been trying for years to find a true LT, and it's hard to do. G Evan Boehm (Cardinals) Alex Boone (49ers) Christian Westerman (Bengals) Dorian Johnson (Cardinals) Boehm surprised and pleased me by moving to guard and winning the starting job, and Boone is a longtime starter who can fill the other spot. I've got two young guys at the backup roles who I hope will ascend. For some reason this has become a hard position to fill, but I'm ... okay, I guess. Maybe adequate. C Cody Whitehair (Bears ) Great shape here. Whitehair is a rising star. K Cairo Santos, K Best in the league. P Dustin Colquitt Best in the league. LS James Winchester Best in the league. FS Jordan Poyer (Eagles/Browns/Bills) Desmond King (Chargers) Poyer is now a starter at FS for the Bills, and King is looking really good as a rookie. Not a standout group, but adequate. SS Reshad Jones (Dolphins) Miles Killebrew (Lions) Derron Smith (Bengals) Jones is a star, and I've got two young backups. I'm good. CB Marcus Peters (Chiefs) Steve Nelson (Chiefs) Mitchell, Terrance (Chiefs) Kendall Fuller (Redskins) Kalan Reed (Titans) We're strong and young here, I think. All of these players are ascending, and I've got one spot locked down with Peters. OLB AJ Klein (Panthers/Saints) Taco Charlton (Cowboys) Tamba Hali (Chiefs) Ejuan Price (Rams) Klein has emerged strong as a Saint. I'm transitioning to a 4-3, but this year Charlton will play as the primary pass rusher in a 3-4. He can do that well. Tamba is on his last hurrah and is hurt, and Price is a rookie backup. ILB Derrick Johnson (Chiefs) Zach Brown (Titans) Reggie Ragland (Chiefs) Scooby Wright (Browns) This unit could be good, but it's not stable. I'm relying on DJ to be back all year, and for Zach Brown to continue his resurgence. Ragland and Wright are speculative. I need my old veterans to come through. DE Star Lotulelei (Panthers) Andrew Billings (Bengals) Nate Orchard (Browns) Michael Bennett (Jaguars) Ifeadi Odenigbo (Vikings) This is a makeshift group. I'm transitioning from a 3-4 to a 4-3 over time, but at the moment I'll stay in a 3-4 and move two defensive tackles out to the end spots. Orchard is moving from OLB and will be more valuable after my transition. It's not an ideal situation since they'll generate no pass rush. NT Brandon Williams (Ravens) Bennie Logan (Chiefs) Caleb Brantley (Browns) I'm really deep here at NT because I'm building talent for my future transition to a 4-3. Right now, Williams will start as a top-notch NT with good depth behind him. Aside from the camp fodder guys, here are our notable cuts. Relatively easy cuts Cyrus Kouandjio (Bills/Lions) Damien Mama Denard Robinson (Jaguars) Devine Redding Gehrig Dieter Jah Reid Justin March Marcus Kemp Marcus Rush Nick Williams Okine, Earl LB Orson Charles Person, Mike Rey Maualuga (Bengals) Rod Streater (Bills) Stave, Joel TJ Clemmings (Vikings/Redskins) Kouandjio was a 2nd-round draft pick for me, so he kind of busted, but that's life. A few other guys are backups around the league. Moderately difficult cuts Daniel McCullers (Steelers) Geno Smith (Jets) Kenneth Acker Nick Foles Roy Miller (Chiefs) These guys are all role players who could help a roster, but I didn't have room for them. Toughest cuts Harlan Miller (Cardinals) Jarvis Jenkins (Chiefs) Tyvon Branch (Cardinals) Jenkins looked good last year, and I'm giving up on Miller early due to depth at the position. Tyvon Branch was my 54th player, but I have a very strong starter and two ascending backups. Age cost him his job. |
I think next year I'm going to draft nothing but linebackers.
|
To preface... I'm trading my 2019 4th for Reggie Ragland because I just need warm bodies at ILB. I had David King on my roster, so I'm trading him to TEN for the 7th rounder. Despite my need for an O-lineman, I'm going to roll with only 7 and decline trading for Cam Erving because I just don't see the value there. I can't trade for Kevin Pierre-Louis because I cut Alexander last season. Running trade tab noted.

ILB is a nightmare for me. I'm hoping Blair Brown pans out and becomes a starter next season or I'm gonna be drafting ILBs high. O-Line is abysmal for me as well at this point. McGovern still isn't starting, but at least he's on the active roster this year as the reserve C/G, and Johnson going to PS really hurts. Fahn Cooper already flamed out for me. I might have to go high next year at G. No 1st round pick for me might mean I'm grasping at straws to fill in the holes. |
Can we put players on the IR if they're on the IR in the real world?

With Tyrod Taylor on the bench, I now have three starting quarterbacks in Russell Wilson, Brett Hundley, and Nathan Peterman. Maybe some of them aren't stars yet, but it's still a win given that I got them all with mid-round picks.
|
(Looking at stats sheet.) I think we'll keep Peterman at third string for now.
|
My team placed four pro bowlers this year, which would tie for fifth-most in the league. (However, 8 teams are in that tie.)
My pro bowlers were at good positions, though: Russell Wilson, QB Alvin Kamara, RB Travis Kelce, TE Reshad Jones, SS That implies that my team would be a top-ten team if the rest of the talent is okay. Given that I also had Marcus Peters on the team, I'm feeling pretty good about my roster even though I've got some clear areas where I need to improve (like pass rush). |
Quote:
I've got clear areas everywhere I need to improve, like drafting period. Haha. Truth be told, I have 3 young guys that looked like studs in the making that either got in trouble or hurt in Tyler Boyd, Aaron Jones, and Chris Carson... So, we'll see what happens with them. I could end up loaded at RB. Matt Judon is coming on for me so that's gonna help soften the blow at OLB. Connor McGovern is starting to play for Denver and has looked good, so I might not be that far off at OLine... Hoping Dorian Johnson catches on in Houston. Apparently I shouldn't follow John Dorsey's draft guide at DB and ILB... |
Quote:
Good job on Judon. I saw his name the other day and thought about this game. I remembered that you'd drafted him, and he was on my list, but I went another direction. Ouch. Here's my post from Draft Day 2016 (Post 535 in this thread). Boehm briefly started at guard but is now a backup. 4-28 (126th pick) - C Evan Boehm (Cardinals) I very much wanted RB Jordan Howard here, and considered G Christian Westerman, but in the end I need a center. I was also enamored with CB Zack Sanchez and DE Matt Judon, but went with need. |
Okay, let's see where we stand at the end of the season.
QB Russell Wilson (Seahawks) Brett Hundley (Packers) Nathan Peterman (Bills) Wilson is still my guy. My two young guys got playing time and didn't impress at all, but hopefully it was a growth opportunity. Grade: A since Wilson stayed healthy and my backups weren't needed. RB Alvin Kamara (Saints) Samaje Perine (Redskins) Jamaal Charles (former Chiefs) C.J. Spiller. (Bills/Saints/Chiefs) Boom boom on Kamara. Perine got a lot of carries, so he's a body in there, but he wasn't impressive. Jamaal gave me some spot duty and I cut Spiller about 10 times. Grade: B+ because Perine had to take some carries and dragged production down. WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs/Ravens) Donte Moncrief (Colts) Kendall Wright (Titans/Bears) Albert Wilson (Chiefs) Malachi Dupre (Packers) Lots of mediocre production. Kendall Wright was my top receiver with a little more than 600 yards, and Albert Wilson was my #2 guy at 550 yards. Grade: D. Lots of okay bodies, no key guy. TE Travis Kelce (Chiefs) Ben Koyack (Jaguars) Anthony Fasano (Titans/Dolphins) Great performance here by my #1 guy, and the backups have their roles. Grade: A. Did everything I needed. OT Mitchell Schwartz (Browns/Chiefs) Morgan Moses (Redskins) Menelik Watson (Raiders/Broncos) Corey Robinson (Lions) Schwartz is an all-pro, albeit out of position since he's my LT. Moses was very solid at RT. Depth is shaky, but I didn't need it. Grade: A-. Two good and durable starters. G Evan Boehm (Cardinals) Alex Boone (49ers) Christian Westerman (Bengals) Dorian Johnson (Cardinals) Once an area of strength, I've struggled here. Boehm got benched and Johnson went to the practice squad. Boone is still a capable starter, and apparently Westerman impressed in the little action that he got. I'm building for the future, but wasn't strong this year. Grade: D. Unstable group. C Cody Whitehair (Bears ) Great shape here. Whitehair is fine. Grade: B since he wasn't a pro bowler. K Cairo Santos, K Injury problem here, though I've got my eye on a great free agent for next year. Grade: F, assuming that I had to get a street free agent not named Butker. P Dustin Colquitt MVP. Grade: C since he's now an average punter. LS James Winchester Best in the league. Grade: A since he never screwed up. FS Jordan Poyer (Eagles/Browns/Bills) Desmond King (Chargers) Very solid here. Poyer did fine in Buffalo, and King is a rising star in San Diego. Grade: B+ since I can use King in the nickel, too. SS Reshad Jones (Dolphins) Miles Killebrew (Lions) Derron Smith (Bengals) Jones is a pro bowler, and Killebrew is getting playing time. Grade: A since I'm starting a pro bowler. CB Marcus Peters (Chiefs) Steve Nelson (Chiefs) Mitchell, Terrance (Chiefs) Kendall Fuller (Redskins) Kalan Reed (Titans) Peters is strong, of course, and I've got Nelson on the other side. Some depth. Grade: Maybe a B. We're above average, but not stellar. OLB AJ Klein (Panthers/Saints) Taco Charlton (Cowboys) Tamba Hali (Chiefs) Ejuan Price (Rams) Disaster here. Charlton disappointed as a rookie. Klein finally became a regular starter and is apparently solid, but not spectacular. Grade: F. No pass rush, no real impact. ILB Derrick Johnson (Chiefs) Zach Brown (Titans) Reggie Ragland (Chiefs) Scooby Wright (Browns) Zach Brown is a tackling machine, and DJ and Ragland can hold their own. Reasonably solid group. Grade: B. Solid presence in the middle with depth. DE Star Lotulelei (Panthers) Andrew Billings (Bengals) Nate Orchard (Browns) Michael Bennett (Jaguars) Ifeadi Odenigbo (Vikings) Lots of defensive tackles playing as 3-4 ends. I can't draft at this position to save my life. These guys clog lines but they don't make plays. Grade: D- because at least Star shows up. NT Brandon Williams (Ravens) Bennie Logan (Chiefs) Caleb Brantley (Browns) Pretty good at nose tackle. Williams is very solid and Logan had a good year. Brantley is ascending. Grade: B for talent and depth. Summary: Going into next year, I have to get pass rushers and edge defenders. That area is a disaster. I could stand to upgrade at the WR and G positions too, if possible. |
Remember to make your drafts after the NFL draft, guys. If you don't draft by the beginning of training camp for the earliest NFL team, you'll get the Chiefs' draft. (You could do worse, though. I could make you take the Broncos' draft.)

Thank God for some of the Chiefs trades and FAs because my CB and WR spots were about to be ****ed.

I've brought three draft magazines to read on my big trip, so I'll be ready to draft on draft day, and I should have internet coverage then. At first glance, though, I'm kind of screwed. It's a weak year for the two biggest roster holes I've got at OLB and DE. I can never seem to fix those positions. |
Yep looking at my team it's once again LT and safety if Kam retires. Rest of my team is stacked.
Funny thing I was like Nostradamus when I drafted Amerson took a while but he finally became a chief. |
Well, I guess it's time to start thinking about this.
My picks to start out: 2.054 3.086 4.122 5.159 (I did not trade to CLE for Cam Erving) 6.196 6.209 (comp/Foles) 7.243 (f/TEN for David King) I will accept the following trades KC made: Alex Smith to Washington Redskins for 3.078 and CB Kendall Fuller Marcus Peters and 6.209 to Los Angeles Rams for 4.124 and 2019 2nd round pick I will then take a huge gamble, hoping the guy I really want falls, and make a pre-draft trade up with the New England Patriots as follows: 2.054, 3.078, and 4.124 (608 points) to New England for 2.043, 3.095, 6.198, and 7.219 (606 points) This gives me the following picks: 2.043 (f/SF via NE) 3.086 3.095 (f/NE) 4.122 5.159 6.196 6.198 (f/LAR via NE) 7.219 (f/CLE via NE) 7.243 (f/TEN) I wouldn't normally consider making a pre-draft trade like this, but getting full value makes it a chance worth taking because I won't get to round 1 in a post-draft trade unless I give up 2.054, 3.078, and 3.086, which simply isn't happening. A post-draft trade of 2.054 and 3.078 would only get me to 43 with a 7th thrown in anyhow. I'm banking a guy falls that I really like, but that guy getting by CLE and IND is a huge risk. |

Rain Man, can you go over this list and check it for accuracy? Just trying to assemble a list for everyone to make their decisions off of this year.

Thanks for doing that! It looks great.
I was trying to figure out the draft picks for everyone, and I think this list is right. Let me know if I missed anything. Your draft picks: Round 1, Pick 22 if you didn't trade for Patrick Mahomes (i.e., he was not on your roster last year) Round 2, pick 54 Round 3, pick 78 (if Alex Smith was on your roster last season and you accept the trade of Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins) Round 3, pick 86 Round 4, pick 122 Round 4, pick 124 (if Marcus Peters is on your roster and you accept the trade of Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams) Round 5, Pick 159 if you didn't trade for Cam Erving (i.e., he wasn't on your roster last year) Round 6, pick 196 (compensatory pick) Get Round 7, Pick 233 if you traded Marcus Cooper off of your roster in 2016 Give up round 7, pick 240 if you want Kenneth Acker on your roster this year. Get Round 7, Pick 243 if you traded David King last season (i.e., he wasn't on your roster in 2017). If you're a new player, you can just have the Cooper and King picks if you didn't have your team in time to make those decisions. |
Man so with uncertainty of kam chancellor I guess I have to look at safety at some points my in draft. Such a bummer because he’s one of my best draft picks off of this.

Woof....my team is rough.
I'm accepting the Smith and Peters deal. Didn't have Cooper or King. And I traded for Cam Erving. Draft Picks Round 2, pick 54 Round 3, pick 78 Round 3, pick 86 Round 4, pick 122 Round 4, pick 124 Round 6, pick 196 round 7, pick 240 Pre Draft Roster Offense QB Pat Mahomes II Chad Henne RB Spencer Ware C.J. I'm leaning toward a trade down, but one of the discounted ones after I see where guys land. The mock drafts aren't shaking out the way I want, and if they're generally reliable there'll be several Round 2 guys that I like as much as the Round 1 guys. Might as well trade down and get an extra pick.

They'd get the 6th round comp for Foles at 209 if they don't or can't trade Marcus Peters. The remainder looks correct. |

The way day 1 of the draft fell, I feel pretty good about that trade up at the moment because I think I'll have a damned good player there at 43. I'd still be on the fence sitting at 54. Hmmm. Time will tell if it was a good idea or not.
|
Hmm I might feel a bit like an idiot for making that trade now... ****

I'm a bit flummoxed. The draft has gone very differently than I expected, so my scenario building has all been destroyed. I was pretty sure that I would trade down at the discounted level, but now I'm not sure. I might stand pat. I'll probably put up my draft in the next couple of days. |
I don’t think I’ll be taking any of the players that the Chiefs picked so far.
