You guys act like this was pick 12.

If he’s an average LT, that’s a tremendous value at 32.

****ing take a walk or go to bed.

You just cannot sleep when you’re doom goonin. It’s the drafturbator way.

Mahomes was also very happy with the CEH pick (LOL). And Michael Jordan was terrible at drafting players for the Wizards.

Chiefs LT situation has been on shaky ground for years and 2024 was a disaster with 4 different guys in the job. It's understandable that Mahomes is desperate for help. I appreciate Veach is trying to help him. We gotta hope like hell it works out, but it seems the odds are pretty stacked against Simmons on the knee recovery.

Post it.

If you did, I didn't see it.

I'm betting you didn't and I probably told you as such. Was this when you tried to argue age (disproven) or being a non skill player? (Also disproven)

Or was this the power leg day?

Because I kinda tuned you out when you were trying to argue that a LT didn't need two healthy knees to succeed because his POWER KNEE works.

And what about the other 31 teams?

Sure, others would’ve gone another direction regardless

But some are (likely falsely) claiming this guy would’ve been a top 10 pick? Why was there no super aggressive team making a move up?

Why did he fall to 32?

Plenty of teams could be very happy with a “top 5 value” in the mid teens.

Because they don't have the capital this front office has after going to 5 SB's in 6 years. Other teams may think he is doing fine and is worth the risk, but they now if it doesn't work they are getting fired. Veach and Reid don't have that worry.

I remember when Trey Smith lasted until the 6th round because of medicals when he should have been a 2nd round pick- that worked out pretty good for us.

The board has seemingly become as gutless as you were after the Raiders Christmas loss two seasons ago.

Getting this upset over drafting an ultra talented potential franchise LT at 32. LMAO

I have been preaching for Simmons for months someone give me a lot of +1

I’m typically pretty optimistic, but I can’t get there with this one.

The history of this particular injury is just too awful.

Zero issues with the player or position. That all makes sense.

The record for guys who have had this injury is just so so bad.

Pretty much this.

I really do trust Veach, and I think if you ignore the injury, the pick seems like an obvious slam dunk.

And obviously none of us know how much research went into this pick, how many doctors they consulted on this, how many medical evaluations they went through, and they probably went down the history of this injury just the same as DJLN and Crow did. I'd have to assume they did their due diligance. And they still gambled their 1st rounder on him.

It's not just risky, it's reckless.

And Moore is far from a sure thing to allow the luxury of giving Simmons a “red shirt season”.

It’s a totally lame but completely understandable pick that could totally flame out or help us win a bunch more Super Bowls. That’s kind of what happens when you’re picking #32.

I’m pissed, but I also understand I’m a clueless fan who knows nothing. I’ll trust the guys who appear in Super Bowls like it’s not even a big deal anymore. They seem to know what they’re doing.

-King- 04-24-2025 10:01 PM

Ok let's pretend he's fully healthy, is he the LT or the redshirted RT? If he's the RT, why would you use a 1st round pick to redshirt an RT? Especially one coming off a career impacting injury? If he's the LT, why did they give Moore 2 years 30mil with 21 guaranteed? If they wanted a stop gap why not get the more sure thing in Cam Robinson who got only got 1 yr 12mil.

If Trey Smith didn’t work out, there wouldn’t be much of an issue. Any 6th round pick is a gamble.

This is a first round pick. Veach has to be right about this.
