I miss Planet Sub. That bread was the best.

Pepe Silvia 02-16-2025 12:20 PM

I have never had Chipotle.

If you prefer something like a taqueria over chipotle, sure. Although unless the line is that long, I'm not seeing how it could really be much faster. I'm usually in and out within 5 minutes.

But I'm not with you comparing Chip to McD. As somebody else pointed out, it doesn't involve all the highly processed food cooked at high temperature.

For instance, Chipotle only uses avocados in their guacamole. A typical fast food chain would add cheaper processed fats of some sort.

If they were truly trying to pay tribute to Angel and capture her essence (pun intended) it would be, but sadly it's just more woke corporate false idol worship.

We have local burrito places that are also cheaper than Chipotle. Sorry but their whole "fresh" thing sounds like a corporate marketing campaign, just like Subway before we found out that their chicken was only like 20% actual chicken. Mass produced food is mass produced food at the end of the day.

Sandwich shops like Subway and Jersey Mikes?

There are even some fast food salad places around if you look hard enough.

I love Jersey Mike’s and Firehouse Subs but they’re expensive for subs. Even Publix subs are like $11 now. At this point, if you’re getting a sub, chips and soda it’s going to run you $15.

I do like Chipotle, though their prices have inflated quite a bit recently as well. I think it’s $11 and change for a steak burrito. I tolerate that because a Chipotle burrito will keep me full for half the day. I also don’t consider it quite as unhealthy as most burger places where I’m more likely to get fries and a soda.

Personally, I'm not crazy about BBQ sauce on my burger, but I'd give it a go...except I get McDonalds once every never, so it'll be gone before I get around to it.

Also, who the **** is Angel Reese??

I’m not saying they’re the greatest, but come on man. Do you not see them grilling and chopping the meat while ordering? What are they grilling and chopping? McRibs?

ThaVirus 02-16-2025 12:47 PM

I’d trust Chipotle’s “freshness” over Subway’s just given the fact that every Chipotle I ever go to is pretty busy while Subways are always ghost towns.

Subway has become a stale brand like Wendy’s. Been surpassed by all the other sandwich chains. Another good sandwich chain I like it is Potbelly’s

Food's OK, and less processed than McD type places.

BUT, ever time I go, apparently the person in front of me is relative or SO of the scooper for the meat.

Cause they *always* get 3 spoonfuls of whatever meat, then the guy looks at me and gives me one scoop.

Right in fronta me.

**** Chipotle.

You gotta chat them up first. Make a connection. Fake smile. Tell them how hungry and poor you are. Jackpot. Then get all the meat.

Its been forever since I've had Chipotle but when I did I ordered online and used the dedicated online order drive thru lane

Yall going inside?

It's not overly processed though. They actually cook food. All of it. If you find a Chipotle that gives a shit it is really good. For example the one off 119th and Blackbob in Olathe is pretty good. The one in West Shawnee is almost always shit. But its just because of seasoning enough and or sitting out too long. But it is real food.

I go in almost everywhere. My GF hates doing anything not online though so if she orders online half of the time it isn't done anyway and I just have to keep waiting.
