I’m OK with whatever he decides to do.
At this point he’s probably not entirely worth the cap space he’s taking. I also wonder if having a declining Kelce as Mahomes’ security blanket isn’t hurting more than helping. At the same time, he’s Travis ****ing Kelce. He’s built up enough goodwill with me that he could hang on for another couple years as a shadow of himself and I still can’t bitch about it. |

Kelce has many years remaining. |
He's got a great career already starting outside of football. He has nothing left to prove. I would not blame him one bit if he called it a career.

It’s probably hard to walk away after losing a Super Bowl.
Jason Kelce couldn’t do it. That said, if he isn’t all in then I hope he calls it a career. If he comes back, he needs to dedicate himself this offseason and get back into much better shape than he was this season. Being 35 doesn’t excuse his FUPA. I won’t blame him either way, but he needs to decide if he’s all in. If not, it’s been a hell of a career and it was an absolute honor to watch him play for my favorite team. |
I think TK will/should wait to see what Andy and Veach do with the O-Line, and what year they're looking at being a dominant O again. Let's face it, next year is going to be tough because of our schedule, add to it that we prolly won't get so many "WOW, we pulled that win out of our ass" wins, so if we somehow find one-year talent to give PMII some time to find our "stretch the D" WRs next year, we might suffer anyway. So Travis needs to make his decision based on their actions, not words.

If I were kelce I'd just bang tswift for a couple kids and call it a career... But if he wants to make a comeback from one of the worst games of his career, I'm rooting for him to fix it.

He doesn't want to walk out with that taste in his mouth. Even TayTay's vajay won't get the taste of this embarrassment out of his mouth.
|
If Kelce wants to return he takes a pay cut to reduce his cap # and gives a commitment to the team that he’ll dedicate this offseason to ensuring he’s in optimal condition entering next season.
Football is his #1 priority if he wants to return. |

All things considered, I think Kelce contributes a lot more to the team than just the numbers we see in the box score. I hope he plays another year. |

Bye
He has to go |
Whatever Travis decides, it's been great having him here playing for the Chiefs. Age is the unbeaten opponent. If he and Taylor want to start a family, they are going to start pretty soon. Her eggs aren't getting any fresher.

But we also don’t have to lie to ourselves and deny what is obvious to our eyes. He had noticeable fat rolls and love handles hanging over his belt all season. The dude clearly is not in peak physical condition regardless of his age. I don’t think it’s unreasonable, if he decides to return, to expect him to commit to making sure his fitness and conditioning is better next year than it was this year. If he won’t do that then he’ll continue to steeply decline and he would be better off just walking away now. We all love the guy but let’s call a spade a spade here. |
