Lost power for 5 hours last night:)

Couldn't get the generator to work:(

I pulled maintenance 2 months ago...dunno. I hadn't gotten around to utilizing the propane hook up, like a dummy.

We had ice (less than GoChiefs post) and a half inch or so of snow with a ****ton of wind of course.

I didn't leave my house yesterday for the first time in... I don't know - a long time.

Those with gas insert fireplaces. Check to see if you have a battery hookup under the furnace. You should be able to get it to light with batteries. The fan wont run, but at least you have some heat.
Make 100% sure you install a disconnect, so you don't nuke your power guys upstream.

Our roads were fine down here. Every milk carton and every egg in the area are sold out though.

I saw the ****fest that was the Garden City Walmart Friday. Holy balls. Fortunately for us we had the staples so I didn't have to deal with that **** mess.

It's slick as hell up here though. At one point I booted the dog out, and she was sliding all over the sidewalk, even with 4 wheel drive. At one point she stopped moving and was still slowly sliding down the sidewalk. ROFL

Thank God for indoor plumbing.
