I have found that changing companies every four to five years is necessary anyway as they have a tendency to gradually increase rates once they think you are comfortable and not paying attention.

Ten years ago our homeowners was just over a grand, now it is four times that +.

You’re doing the right thing, Ed

Keep getting the best deal for you

Why do you think these telecommunication companies are giving away i-phone 16 for essentially free...because they have a new AI assistant..sold under the idea of a "life co-pilot"...but it documenting everything aspect of your life. Next level surveillance..

k... then what?

...and I don't mean made up fiction bullshit, but literally, tangibly, how does any of that impact my life?

Do you know how much of your data already exists on the dark web? Old passwords, data breaches, old accounts you don't even know were hacked years ago.

If you want people to shit their pants in fear, you don't have to make up some made-for-movie bullshit, just show them what's already out there. You're terrified, half this thread is... but I bet you're still chugging along unaffected by the dark shadows.

Sorry, but the boogie man doesn't care about you, no matter how much your main character syndrome demands it. And it doesn't give a shit about me.

I've figured for a while that's the best route, even if I'm too lazy to do so most of the time, heh.... the first time I did so, I saved quite a bit on comparable coverage, but then you have that PTSD/****-how-long-was-I-getting-raped feeling that you don't exactly want every few years. LMAO

Yeah, my app with Travelers is free and I only have to use it for 90 days and 84 of them are behind me. Then they have enough information to properly adjust my rates.

Oh and Big Daddy, I was nicknamed HemiEd by a some of my buddies for having done this Hemi Road Runner restoration 24 years ago.

The fact that I am trying to keep my insurance costs down has nothing to do with my car interest. The fact that I am the only driver in our house and have 5 vehicles does though.

Yea because spending a fortune on high performance only to to save a couple bucks and never drive your cars totally makes sense. WTF

I figured, 100% of the time when asked a direct question in response to your very specific fiction of a future, you jump to 50k feet and say "wOuLdN't YoU lIkE tO kNoW"... watching you turn into that 50k-foot clown is still amusing sometimes though, so thanks for delivering. :thumb:

Cool..let's just say we are two very different human beings. Without the digital means of the internet, our communication paths would likely never cross..

To each their own...

Yep, about 25 years ago I started checking each year if there is an increase and how much. The Mrs. just paid it prior to that.

A ten percent increase when it was a thousand per year was somewhat tolerable, but ten percent of 4k per year is certainly worth looking into.

I also dropped their "replacement cost coverage" as it was getting crazy when the inflation did likewise and a 2x4 was so expensive.

I just have it for a set max now. The foundation and concrete work isn't going anywhere, to hell with paying insurance coverage for it.

This summer my wife was just sitting still in traffic. She got rear ended. Totaled the car. Obviously his fault. Got the ticket and blame. Our insurance went up $20 a month. I asked our agent why, Florida is a no-fault state.

How did that come into law? You are just sitting there waiting on the light to turn green but your insurance goes up and it’s on your record now. :cuss:

Yeah, that's a good point, too... there's shopping for better rates, but also just doing a check on coverage to make sure you still need what you signed up for 10 years ago, or if you need to drop to low mileage on a car or find other discounts, etc.

with my old school lime green Scat Pack Shaker and it’s 485hp you can’t fly under the cop radar. They pulled me over all the time. Tint, loud motor, swerving in my own lane etc. only got two tickets for speeding in the 5 years I owned it. Paid $100 to a lawyer and got it reduced to “defective equipment”. No points on the license. Pay court costs and insurance can’t raise their rates.

Mad? LMAO It's not my fault you posted one of the most reeruned threads ever. Do your cars a favor and sell them to somebody who will take them out of first gear.
