You will need a chainsaw, lots of dirty ball caps, non designer jeans, work or outdoor boots, flannels, several good knives, at least one being fixed blade, an axe, a tractor or four wheeler, the ability to grow your own food, hitch for the truck, lots of huntin and fishin shit. You got all that, AND, you live on 20 or more acres, or in a town of less than 3000 people, and you are on your way

How about 16 acres and fewer than 50 people?

That'll do. On the gun thing, you don't really need tons of different assault rifles. You just need to have and be good with a shotgun, a rifle, and a handgun. More importantly, you must have a shit ton of ammo at all times.

Country is a state of mind. I'm a metal head, gamer, IT Pro, and a city dweller, but still pretty country where it counts. I love clean air and clean water, the patterns the wind makes in the wheat just before the harvest, big barbecues and fish fries. I'm thankful every day for the gifts and the life I have, and the health of my family.

That's why Bob Dole has been shopping for a Sub-2k...to leverage the .40 stockpile.

Still working on the tractor.

Oh, and you have to be handy with machinery and bbqs and real man shit. You also must have a decent dog.

Know which shovel is for which job and know how to use tools...hand and power. And don't be like a friend of mine who moved here from Philly. We went to ride horses and he showed up in a starched shirt, chaps and a pristine cowboy hat. We had jeans, boots, ball caps and shit stained shirts. He watched too many Roy Rogers movies as a kid.

Thanks. It may be too late for me, but my children will be raised decent people. I don't think I'm too keen on hunting, as I like animals a lot and would rather hunt terrorist or poachers or criminals (which I do as a a job).

A pig from NY.

Ill bet you do need serious help not being a total prick 24/7.

Good luck.

Let me guess Stetson 20x, Silverbelly? :hmmm:

One must also attend a few brandings (old school no chute) and learn how to be useful. The reward is being able to enjoy rocky mountain oysters and ice cold beer after the job is done.

Listen to 'Chicken Fried' on repeat... any confederate flag regalia gets you bonus points but isn't a must.
