You are missing a key point in all those stats. Burrow did have better stats this year, but also had two elite WRs. Plus Burrow, much like Dak, puts up monster numbers yet makes mistakes when it matters most. That’s what separates an all time great QB from a good or even elite in his era QB.

Even when they open their pocket book... Chase turned down $35m/year. With inflation and in winning the triple crown he will ask for closer to $40m. Tee on the open market is probably worth $25m. They could pay well over $40m just to keep the team the same. That's not even factoring in all the guys they'll lose on defense and the OL who will probably be replaced.

Cap space is also relative. Lots and lots of real good teams with way more cap space. We will see tons of inflation in the upcoming offseason. Youd think $60m is a lot but it's actually middle of the pack. Teams like New England, chargers, pats, raiders are gonna spend obscene amounts of money.

The problem is... their draft picks have not been impactful unless they're picking in the top 5.

You don't have any end of the 1st or middle of the 1st hits like McDuffie or Karlaftis or Worthy. You don't have enough 2nd or 3rd rounders who have been better than expected like Bolton, Humphrey, Rice (they have Logan Wilson but that's really it). The team depth just isn't good enough, as a result.

If we made a list of moves we want opposition to make this is certainly on the list.
