No, Keitzman is saying A&M is bitching about recruiting.

Just like he's saying that MU fans don't like this move and Jay Nixon caused the whole thing.

He's as allergic to facts as you are.

Wrong. What Texas kid is going to want to play games hundreds of miles away? They can go to a Big XII school and play most games within a few hours drive from their home? aTm is already complaining about being shutout on recruits just because of it. Not that they've done anything in recent years.

BUT, I still believe Mizzou would have gotten into the 10 or the SEC if the Big 12 fell apart anyway. I think the well-deserved Texas hate just expedited the process.

And I still think KU ends up in the B1G and gets the last laugh if this whole thing implodes...

But the B1G has a problem with MU and MU got offered a 'better' conference, if not a better fit. It's a move we absolutely had to make.

Stop swallowing Kietzman's swill. Other schools are neg recruiting aTm. That is documented. But ...

In fact, a quick check of Rivals shows that Texas A&M is currently sitting at No. 6 in the team recruiting rankings.

Yup. This SEC thing is killing Aggie recruiting. Killing it, I tell you!

Yeah, the top players in Texas will be champing at the bit to go to Ames, Lawrence, Manhattan, Provo, and Morgantown in December to play shit teams. That beats the hell out 70 degree weather and 100,000 fans in the seats in the best conference on the planet. Preach on, Stu. You've really got your finger on the pulse of today's young athletes.

You try to raise the bar in scenarios like this. You lay out a battle plan, you get your armies set up, you set up a stronghold in Western Australia, and some mother****er named Stewie comes over and takes a gigantic dump over the board. Its disheartening.

It's hard not to think Texas won't bail at the first possible moment they can, if they feels that it benefits them in any way. When that time comes, and I feel secure saying it will, it's going to suck for the rest of the conference, no matter who they bring in. The next six years should be great for the Big XII, but after that?

Oh c'mon - the Western Australia guy always gets proper ****ed unless he can develop some sort of marauding hoard before someone is able to lay siege to South America, trickle up through Africa and take to really whupin' some ass.

Never isolate yourself in Australia. At that point you're resigned to being nothing more than the guy that kills someone off, ****s someone else up, then ends up coming in 3rd after doing most of the heavy lifting.

Yeah. It really appears the Longhorn Network is headed for failure, especially after the concessions Texas recently has made.

Not hard to see it being canned after a few years. Also not hard to see it being rolled into a regional network when Texas makes its move. The Big Ten and ACC would be easy partners for that.

The PAC is not going to work currently, but Larry Scott has eyes for Texas. If the LHN is no longer a factor, I'd say there's still a strong chance UT and OU end up over there.

So instead of having in-state games against Baylor, Texas and Texas Tech every other year and seven-eight home games every year, the Aggies are now looking at seven-eight home games with closest trips every other year being to Arkansas, LSU and Ole Miss. What's the difference for in-state kids?

Well, Waco is a close trip, as is Austin. Those are gone. Texas Tech is a haul and similar to the trip to Fayetteville.

Really, what it comes down to is one less game within 2-3 hour driving distance every year. Not as big a loss as you're hypothesizing.

By "several" are you referring to the one conference game per year played in Texas that North teams averaged?

Kind of like the Big 10 accepting Nebraska.

"We are an academic conference! Football is secondary!"

"Yes! We are academeea!"

"Whew! I thought for a minute you lost AAU certification."

"Oh. What?"

"AAU?"

Yeah, my Nebraska "give-a-shit" meter has really leveled off as of late. Colorado may as well not exist.

I don't recall seeing a Colorado score until this last weekend. ROFL

The next six years should be great for the Big XII, but after that?

Do you think it would be to a conference, or as an independent?

Granted, you will get a different experience depending on which American Eagle route you take, as I believe they are independent carriers that are contracted out by American Airlines.

Of course, the ones that fly to and from Manhattan, KS are among the best in the world.

Next time tell my best friend hello. He is a captain and he is very hard to miss considering he is the only black guy that works for the company.

Hell, who knows? There is no telling what the conference landscape will look like in six years. I'd guess that it would all depend on the LHN, and if they feel they can rake in serious monies with it or not. I would guess a conference, but that's jsut a guess.

What can they show on their station?

No HS games.

No away games.

Are they going to force the opposing fans to subscribe to their station to watch any games in Austin? That would be a hoot.

Suck it, haters.

Seriously, direct flights? I bet those are cheap!

One week ago, Dad and I flew out of Ord at the same time, him to Wichita and me to DFW. His was $500, mine was $240 rt.

True. I should have said what they think LHN can be if they went out on their own.

Uh oh, Saul - you've stepped into his wheelhouse.

He's been waiting all day for one of you poor ****ers to start talking airlines so he can drop the hammer on you.

Clever bastard, he is.
