If the AFC wasn't complete shit they would easily miss the playoffs. JA should be sending Rogers some nice ass christmas gifts this year.

Just like every year with Allen. They win a few early games, they get hyped as the “Team no one wants to face”, Allen gets MVP hype, and then the playoffs start and Buffalo loses in the divisional round while watching someone else represent the AFC and someone besides Allen winning MVP. At least Bills fans can take comfort with all those AFC OPW awards that Allen wins.

Hey Diqlix, any word on this?

Mahomes vs Burrow & Allen

Mahomes has a career passer rating of 105.04

What would it take for Burrow and Allen to exceed this?

Well, for Burrow, the football gods would have to remove 30 of his 33 career interceptions, leaving him with 84 TD's and only 3 INT's to give him a rating of 105.05

For Allen, even removing all his 64 career interceptions isn't' enough, additionally, the gods would need to anoint him with an additional 18 career TD's to give him a rating of 105.05

So basically, Mahomes' career stats are so good thus far that it would take essentially zero interception careers thus far for Allen and Burrow to match Mahomes

Allen seems to fall into Lamar & Dak talk now

The easy answer is:

Career: Mahomes > Allen > Burrow (to be honest, i’m not sure he’s even a top 5 QB)

This season: Allen > Mahomes > Burrow

So you’re making this assessment after 4 games? When they both are 3-1, but one of them is actually already the 1 seed??

Allen has better stats in the 2023 season. But it’s a long season and we will see how it looks in December.

You overinflate today, when you already know tomorrow's outcome

It’s not disrespect it’s just a fact.

Allen has played better than Mahomes so far. It’s why he’s the league MVP favorite right now.

As DRM08 said, it’s a long season. It could change. But as of right now Allen is on top.

Brock Purdy leading the QBR metric by a large margin at the moment, but he hasn’t faced any good defenses so far. Curious to see how he does the next 2 weeks against pretty strong defenses for Dallas & Cleveland.

Fact? No, that's an opinion. The only stat that's substantially better is comp%, which is largely because Mahomes' receivers have numerous drops.

It's silly to base your opinion solely on stats anyway. Couple examples: Mahomes throws a perfect pass to Toney, who bobbles it directly into a DB's hands for a pick 6. On Sunday night, Mahomes could have walked into the endzone on the last play, but chose to run clock instead.

That's where ESPN's QBR metric is helpful. They don't blame Mahomes for the Pick 6 with Toney, and they gave Mahomes a good grade in that Lions game overall.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr/_/sort/...djQBR/dir/desc

ESPN QBR also gives proper credit to clutch moments in the 4th quarter and effectiveness running the ball, which helps both Allen & Mahomes compared to your more statue-type of quarterbacks such as Tom Brady or the Manning brothers. They also down-grade garbage time stuff, so whatever stat padding happened for Justin Fields in that 41-0 game with the Chiefs. Or Russell Wilson padding his stats in that Dolphins 70 point game. Or Tua padding his stats while down 28 to Buffalo...etc etc.

Yep, and Allen's QBR is almost identical to Mahomes'. Another reason it's silly to claim that he's been clearly better so far.
