The Chiefs are asking the Lbers to play more downhill and stop the run the past few games, so they're probably gonna give up some plays on it. Terez talked about it on 610 the other night.
It is what it is. They're playing aggressive and towards the LOS. |

I know not every team has a legit ILB that can cover RB's, especially when they're split out wide. |
@kent_swanson: It won't cost the Chiefs a draft pick to sign Aqib Talib when the Dolphins release him.

I just don't know how they can fit him into the cap going forward. They can bite a pretty nasty bullet and June 1 Hitchens w/ marginal damage to the 2020 cap (and a pretty significant shot to the 2021 cap). He's played the Mike in a 4-3 and is a converted college safety so he's comfortable in space. I just wish they'd lop about $3 million/season off those base salaries over the next 2 years. Paying $19 million for Ogletree over '20 and '21 doesn't do much for me, especially not with the asset cost of acquiring him. Ogletree is probably a nice player to have at $6.5-7 million per but at $9.5 million per he's probably not gonna play to the level of his cap hit. |
