So apparently Veach just wanted the draft picks.....

Ogletree is slated to make 33 million dollars in the first 3 years of that deal.

I'd guess clearing money for an Aaron Donald deal.

Well Quinn and Ogletree are much more suited to play in a 4-3 so maybe Wade just doesn't think they are system fits.

Which is why we probably didn't want them either.

@MikeClayNFL If I'm reading this chart correctly, Alec Ogletree ranked 830th out of 856 defensive players graded by @PFF last year.

I'd love to have Sherman here. Pretty sure that would never happen though. He's good.

He’s not a scheme fit for KC. We need press corners who thrive playing man coverage. Sherman is great, but he’s a zone corner. Watch him end up with the Chargers playing for Gus Bradley. That would not be ideal

He actually can play man, but I really think he'd make a badass free safety.

Patriots release Martellus Bennett. He was never sticking around at his cap number ($6.1 million). Because the Pats picked him up from the Packers, there is no dead money on the cap for him.

Unclear whether he intends to retire or play on. Patriots likely to be interested in bringing him back at a more reasonable number, depending on how the market plays out. In any event, add MartyB to the list of free agents.

I'd trade for Sherman. He can play corner then transition to FS.

Something that Peters isn't. Something that all players, regardless of color, should strive to be.

Would you trade next years 2nd from the Rams for Lavonte David?

Mother****erJones 03-07-2018 03:47 PM

I’m not all about wasting draft capital but using next years 2 could be interesting

Mecca 03-07-2018 03:50 PM

I probably wouldn't do that, you should be able to draft a good MLB.

Also I do think a vet or 2 that is still hungry with some skills that won't break the bank wouldn't be a bad idea.

Mecca 03-07-2018 03:53 PM

Darqueeze Dennard is a FA that wouldn't be a terrible move.

Well Ogletree cost $11 million the next 3 years. Way too much for him.
