Just ****ing wow.

And think we can have Lackey next year for around $400,000.

Lackey has that Carpenter bulldog mentality out there on the mound. I miss Carp but its good to see someone in a Cardinal uniform with that same mentality.

He is an idiot. By every offensive metric, Carpenter was better offensively in 2013 than 2014. He's just conflating three hot games with the entire year.

Carpenter is a great player, but his bat profiles much better at second than third. At second, he's arguably the best 2B in baseball behind Cano. At third, he's still a very good player, but not elite.

That's why the Cardinals would be wise to continually gauge the trade market for Wong in a package deal that could net them a 3B.

GEEEZZZ

Imagine what the royals could do with that money? You could resign Shields easily.

Yep, we need a power hitting 3B in this line up.

kcpasco 10-06-2014 08:33 PM

I'd be fine with Beltre at 3rd.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-06-2014 08:33 PM

I hate watching Wong hit.

They certainly didn't that inning. Molina first pitch swinging and gets it a foot in front of the plate. Wong trying to hit the ball out of the stadium. Get the guys pitch count up or at least pick a good pitch to hit early in the count.

Matheny will start Kozma against Kershaw in Game 4. Offensively, he won't give much of anything, but Wong is worthless right now, too. I just hope he's smart enough to start Taveras over Grichuk, should there be a Game 5.

I don't really want to resign Shields to be honest. 33 years old with 8 straight 200 plus innings pitched. Hell of a player but you are asking for trouble even with a guy who keeps himself in good shape. I'll let the Cubs or Red Sox get him for that price.

AJ Ruth at the plate

The Dodgers are a ****ing joke. I'd be ashamed to cheer for that franchise. I wish them nothing but ill will. I hate the cardinals, too....But at least they do everything right as an organization. Why didn't you bump that Kershaw thread the other night? **** the Dodgers. Can't wait to see their $400M payroll next year. What a joke.

He should go to the Cubs.
