Curry will be 30 years old in June and has 22 sacks in 6 seasons.

That's not a guy I'd count on or give a substantial contract.

The more I've looked around, they're gonna have to give a big contract out to secure some of these spots. Plus, they've got the space coming up in a year and two years to do it.
I don't think I'd do it with Curry as he's a bit older than I'd want but they need to do something.

The Chiefs may not contend this year, but I want as many of the guys in here I think are gonna be around in 2019 as I can get and let it get going early.

This was always the problem with letting Mahomes sit a year. In this scenario, you're giving up 2 years of his cheap deal until you feel as though it's time to contend.

But the CHiefs are gonna be paying their starting QB peanuts, so it's time to start making some moves around him while he's cheap.

Cause if he hits it like CP think he will, he's gonna be expensive.

you guys are giving me Aaron Curry flashbacks. Woof was I wrong about that guy

The one guy I’d try and pry from Seattle would be Bobby Wagner.

Yeah, that's not likely. But yes.

He's 27 and under a good contract. **** yeah I'd trade for him.

Bewbies 03-07-2018 02:19 PM

I'd love to have Sherman here. Pretty sure that would never happen though. He's good.

O.city 03-07-2018 02:22 PM

Theres getting ready to be a butt **** load of trades go down I think.

I’m excited for it bc that’s one thing the NBA did better than the NFL. Glad they are doing it more in the NFL

KC is going youth on defense. I don’t want to deviate from that plan, but I’d definitely try and get him.

That's certainly not a bad scenario.

Wentz is cheap, as is Goff, and both teams are continuing to add pieces.

The Chiefs are at the Ground Floor, IMO.

It would be a waste of cap space, resources and developmental time to plug in guys that would be 29, 30, 31, etc. in 2020.

Mother****erJones 03-07-2018 02:27 PM

For better or worse, one executive tells me there are about to be an onslaught of trades, including ones with marquee players. Bennett just the beginning. Buckle up!

The Chiefs just need to see guys they like a talk about trading next years LA 2nd. If you can get a young talented player, just do it now.

They'd be in their prime right when the Chiefs are looking to push though. It's a better scenario to get those guys in now, so they can be acclimated and ready to roll in 2019 forward, if that's the plan.

The Chiefs are at the ground floor, but if they choose to wait til next year, they're lagging.

Year 3 of the rookie QB money is when you wanna be right in the middle of the window. Not just getting started.
