Mizzou has Ahmad Hardy, No. 4 RB in portal, visiting Wednesday. Freshmen from Louisiana-Monroe who rushed for 1351 yds and 13 TDs this year.

Also have Army transfer Kanye Udoh visiting Wednesday. Had 1117 rush yards and 10 TDs this year.

Would be awesome to get Hardy, but Udoh would be a nice consolation prize.

how are the military schools in terms of this transfer portal bs? are players no longer required to serve? or can they just transfer whenever they want?

So, Mizzou has added 5 transfers so far. Lost about that many as well.

Missouri Tigers

The Missouri Tigers added to their defensive end room Tuesday, acquiring Langden Kitchen out of Northwest Missouri State.

Kitchen chose Missouri after visiting Wisconsin, Iowa and Kansas.

Defensive end became one of the biggest needs for Missouri in the portal, with freshmen Williams Nwaneri and Jaylen Brown entering the transfer portal after one season with the Tigers. Nwaneri (a former five-star prospect) went to Nebraska while Brown (a four-star) stayed in the SEC, going to South Carolina.

Additionally, Missouri is set to lose valuable depth with expiring eligibility for both Joe Moore III and team captain Johnny Walker Jr.

Kitchen is a product of Westran High School, less than an hour drive away from the University of Missouri campus.

In two seasons with Northwest Missouri State, Kitchen recorded 30 tackles, including 10.5 for a loss along with 5.5 sacks. Kitches, 6-foot-7 and 270 pounds, comes to the Tigers with two years of elligiblity remaining.

Kitchen is Missouri's fifth addition through the transfer portal, and fourth to the defensive side of the ball. Missouri has also added Mississippi State wide receiver Kevin Coleman, Northern Illinois safety Santana Banner, Nebraska linebacker Mikai Gbayor and West Virginia linebacker Josiah Trotter.

Oh you guys ended up getting Gbayor? Solid pick up.

As far as QBs I don't know who all is in the portal or what they are ranked someone mentioned Maalik Murphy earlier. That's a guy I wanted last year when he was in the portal still young had a good season last year pretty athletic

Mizzou got a damn good RB. Ahmad Hardy, 247's 4th ranked RB. 1351 yds and 13 TDs as a true freshmen. He has 3 years of eligibility. Really excited for this one. We just need a QB in the worst way.

dlphg9 12-19-2024 12:30 AM

Missouri has Beau Pribula visiting. He's been the back up at Penn State for Allar and has been decent in limited action. Kid can run like hell too.

Crutchfield in the portal. Ole Miss bagmen must have called.

'Hamas' Jenkins 12-19-2024 12:59 PM

Chuck Hicks opting out of the bowl game is one of the most hilarious things I've ever read. How was that no-talent, walking-personal-foul assclown a captain?

I can't remember a single play he made that wasn't a penalty. He had the self-control of Jon Favreau's character in The Replacements coupled with the athleticism of Jon Favreau.

Uuuuuugh

That was our best long-term prospect at WR and a guy we really needed to see develop this season.

Damn. I thought he might be the best WR on the roster.

If you want to make sure a decently-talented kid NEVER again commits to a military school, give them additional requirements that follow them no matter where they transfer.

I don't believe your service requirement 'triggers' until after your Sophomore year. My memory is that is when you have to make the call, whether you play sports or not.

So if you're a Sophomore and you drop out or just switch schools, I don't believe you have signed a service commitment. But if you're a Junior, presumptively you have. And if you try to transfer out, your service requirement is still going to follow you. You can try to defer it (I believe a lot of athletes in up in the reserves as well), but you don't get to just transfer out and pretend it didn't happen.
