Mr. Flopnuts 03-26-2010 09:36 PM

Nice little run for a Friday night.

Little surprised this guy is still here.

GB can still use a bit of secondary help, and a guy who can return with the injury to Will Blackmon and how awful Nelson was at it.

So with that the Packers select, AJ Jefferson, CB, Fresno State.

Good size, good speed, good feed and hips and also a very good returner, exactly what team would be looking for and a great find in this round.

I passed him over for a reason. Great athlete not a football player.

Well it's the 5th round...it's worth that shot here, not to mention he can kick return which may be a hole for Green Bay, there's nothing wrong with having a young backup CB that helps on special teams that's a 5th rounder.

If he develops into anything as a CB that's just a bonus because GB really won't need CB's for another few years but this is just to see if maybe you can develop a guy out of the late rounds.

I think my Packers draft has been quite good so far.

This is a bit of an unconventional pick. Although some might think that he's a best fit in a 3-4 defense, I think that the Rams can use him similar to the way that the Redskins used Orakpo last year. He's not going to be able to hold the point and defend against the run, but I do think that he can man the strong side, and come down as a situational pass rusher on 3rd down while Chris Long is moved to the left side. He's a fast player who is good in space, and should be a terror around the edge, much like current Ram Leonard Little.

He had 22.5 sacks the last two years and won the Buck Buchanan Award (top defender in FCS) in 2009.

The St. Louis Rams select Arthur Moats, OLB, James Madison

The Rams' Draft so far:

1. Clausen
2. Price
3. Saffold
4. Graham
5. Thurmond III
5. Moats

Good point. It's the 5th round after all. If you need a KR/PR this kid can do that and he can learn how to play corner from the greatest football player of all time!:D

I debated about him in the 4th with my Cowboys pick. I liked Arenas in the return game alittle better than Jefferson though.

The one glaring weakness of the Ravens is the lack of depth at CB. They went CB in Round 2 but have two subpar backups. Depth is a necessity and this person is versatile at the CB and FS positions.

The Baltimore Ravens select Myron Lewis, CB/FS, Vanderbilt.

The Ravens also need depth at WR with an aging Derrick Mason and Stallworth has #2 & #3 options. Baltimore gets great value here. This guy also is good at kick off returns.

The Baltimore Ravens select Jeremy Williams, WR, Tulane.

Running out of time, so I'll make this quick. Explanation coming later.

Newhouse got picked a few picks ago...

I PM'd SNR to let him know he needed to re-do his pick.

Just a word to the wise for everyone: Yes, it's obviously a good idea to look over the list on the OP to see if someone has been selected, but you should also search the thread for the name of the player.

Yeah, I PM'd him right after his pick too. He must've hopped offline right after he made his selections.

I apologize for the screw-up, guys. Wasn't paying attention and then got caught up in work and was on the road for most of the day, not realizing I botched my pick.

Here's another one.

The San Diego Chargers select Jamar Chaney, ILB, Mississippi State
