No it’s because he’s one of the best players in the country

I’m glad we don’t have to choose between the two

How many double/triple teams does Bidunga draw? Again, they can't even trust him to catch an entry pass at this point. And if they could, they still wouldn't run the offense through him because he has no reliable post moves at this point. He's a rim-protector who can thrown down lobs.

I can't imagine watching Bidunga and thinking "that guy's more polished than our All-American center who gets doubled or tripled every time he catches the ball."

Hes not polished. But much more than I expected. And he's going to get better, is long and actually a plus athlete. Just wait when he gets better. I'd like to speed that process up so we are the best we can be in March.

Hunter isn't going to get better by playing more minutes. Bidunga will. And Bidunga has a future beyond this year with the program.

The only benefit of not giving Bidunga more minutes is exposing him to the 2025 NBA Draft

Evan Miya ranks him 6th so far this year as well and that stat has nothing to do with volume

There I said it.

And he doesn't even know how to play yet. Will continue to get better.

Better than Hunter? :shake: not yet anyway

I could see Flory going in the 1st round next year if he keeps improving.

smithandrew051 12-01-2024 04:18 PM

I’d actually like to see them on the court together more. Bidunga plays the 5 on offense and defends the opposing 4.

Hardly any team will have that kind of 4-5 duo with the skill sets needed to defend both.

Unfortunately, KJ has been good enough to limit how much we’ll see it.

smithandrew051 12-01-2024 04:19 PM

And I think Flory is on his way to the first round of the 2025 draft.

The flashes we see aren’t a mystery.

If Flory had played as many minutes as Hunter, at his current production he would also be in a similar position in your beloved Kenpom poy rankings.

I think Flory will be a 1st round pick based on what I’ve seen too

Doesn’t mean much about his value as a college player though

Flory would foul out by half if he played as regularly as Dickinson

Exactly. His flaws are very fixable. And will be solved by repetition, practice and exposed experience.

Yeah in 2 or 3 years he will be a good NBA big

2 or 3 years being the key words there

Everyone knows Bidunga has a lot of potential. That isn't the issue. You said that Bidunga would be more productive and win more games right now.

Playing him over Dickinson is something Calipari would do. That's how you end up a 2-4 seed in Auburn's bracket instead of the overall 1 seed.

single game conference tickets are now on sale. There's a few games you can stick pick up for face value if interested.
