At this point my question could have been answered somewhere in this thread, but under the new CBA they have, don't players get paid a full check for preseason games, now?

Mahomes can put 35 to 40 on the board pretty much anytime he wants. He's proven that. It's not like we have to have a defense that holds teams to 14 to 17 to win. Does it help? Absolutely! But it's not a deal breaker.
Cincy isn't going anywhere for a few years. The defense was a major reason KC beat them in the AFCCG and Mahomes has yet to put up 35-40 on them.

I don’t get it tbh, why doesn’t Chris just agree to be the second highest paid DT but Veach add on some incentives for him. That can reach an extra 5 mil a year? Let’s just say 28 mil a year with a chnace at 33 mil. 500k for 5,10,15,20 sack milestones. 1m for all pro. 1 mil for DPOY, and another 1 mil for making the playoffs?

It was already leaked that Jones was asking for $30M and the Chiefs obviously weren't biting. So I don't get why "Chiefs refuse to make Jones the highest paid DT" is any kind of news. Donald makes $31M+.

Pretty much everything that's come out about this has been non-news, including that woman with her boob hanging out on the McAfee show.

It's CP at it's finest. I don't grasp where this "tag and trade" scenario is even realistic. What team is going to give up picks for the right to pay a DT pushing 30 (the cut off age for DT decline) at minimum just under Donald money? I keep hearing Chicago, but there is no reason for them to do that.

I've said throughout this thread that he will report by this Sundays game as the CBA treats the preseason the same as a reg season game and so it's like a $1.3 mil hit. It appears he was at the airport, most likely on his way.

Oh yeah, forgot about that preseason game part. So probably just means he's gonna show up to collect his check. Hopefully he joins the team in full and is practicing and such
